SMB tinapik si Holland para kay Wells

MANILA, Philippines — Nagdesisyon ang San Miguel na palitan si injured import Dez Wells papasok sa krusyal na bahagi ng 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup.

Tinapik ng Beermen si John Holland para saluhin ang naiwang trabaho ni Wells, nagkaroon ng sprain ankle injury, at palakasin ang kanilang tsansang makapasok sa eight-team quarterfinal round ng 2019 PBA Governor’s Cup.

“We’re hoping na maayos ang paperworks ni John Holland bukas (in time for Saturday),” sabi ni coach Leo Austria. “Since sinabi ni Wells he can’t play on Sa­turday, we got a backup. We can’t afford na walang import for the second time,”

May 6-3 kartada ang Beermen para sa solo fourth place sa likod ng TNT Katropang Texters, NLEX Road Warriors at Meralco Bolts papasok sa huling dalawang laro ng elimination round.

Sunod na makakalaro ng San Miguel ang Rain or Shine bukas sa Hoops Dome sa Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

“Kailangan namin manalo kasi nga sunud-sunod na talo namin, kailangan na­ming makahabol sa standings, sa top 4 para ‘twice-to-beat’ advantage,” ani Fajardo matapos makawala ang Beermen sa two-game losing skid.
