Matagumpay ang four-day program ng PSC at PSI sa Biliran Province

MANILA, Philippines — Higit sa 150 coa­ches, trainers at sports of­ficials ang lumahok sa four-day program ng Philippine Sports Commission at Philippine Sports Institute sa Biliran Province State University.

Natuto sila ng coa­ching skills sa athle­tics, badminton, bo­xing, swimming at taek­won­do.

Dumalo naman ang mga veteran athletes, na­tional coaches at offi­cials sa 2nd Grassroots Sports Coaching Clinic and Consultative Sports Planning.

Sa kanyang mensahe ay pinahalagahan ni PSC Visayas Sports Coordinator Nonnie Lopez ang scientific coaching ap­proach sa grassroots sports.

“The next generation of Filipino athletes lies in the grassroots. The PSC and PSI are here to impart dynamic and scien­tific techniques that would make our coa­ching more effective in this level,” wika ni Lo­pez.

Nagpasalamat naman si DepEd Region 8 OIC-Assistant School Division Superintendent Crista Joy Torabila sa PSC at PSI para sa sports clinic.

“We thank the PSC and PSI for this sports cli­nic that will surely ele­vate our grassroots pro­gram in Biliran. Sana makuha na natin ang gold sa limang larangan na nakasali sa clinic na ito,” ani Torabila.

Samantala, 50 local government officials mu­la sa walong munisi­palidad sa probinsya ang lumahok sa seminar kung saan tumayo si­na Lopez, PSC Minda­nao Sports Coordinator Ed Fernandez at Dr. Ge­mima Valderrama of the Department of Educa­tion bilang mga resource spea­kers.

Ang Sorsogon City at Bukidnon Province ang susunod na pagdara­usan ng  Grassroots Sports Coaching Clinic at Consultative Sports Planning sa Setyembre 4-8 at Setyembre 16-22, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Ang unang edisyon ng programa ay idinaos sa Calbayog, Sa­mar no­ong Marso 25-30.
