Bronze kay Mojdeh

SEMARANG, INDONESIA – Gumawa ng ingay si Swimming Pinas standout Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh matapos bumasag ng Philippine national junior record sa 11th Asean School Games na ginaganap sa Jatidiri Sports Complex dito.

Nasungkit ni Mojdeh ang tansong medalya sa girls’ 100m butterfly kung saan nagtala ito ng isang minuto at 3.60 segundo para wasakin ang kanyang lumang Philippine record na 1:04.08 na naitala nito sa 2019 Philippine Swimming Incorporated (PSI) Grand Prix Nationals.

Nahablot ni Louise Bendix ng Malaysia ang ginto sa naitala nitong 1:02.28 habang napasakamay ng isa pang Malaysian na si Keesha Ho ang pilak tangan ang 1:03.46.

Ito ang unang medalya ni Mojdeh sa international competition sa labas ng Philippine Swimming League at Swimming Pinas.

Nagdagdag naman ng pilak na medalya si Miguel Barreto na pumangalawa sa boys’ 200m freestyle makaraang magtala ito ng 1:54.83 habang na-ngibabaw si Khiew Hoe Yean ng Malaysia na may nairehistrong 1:53.25.

Sa kabuuan, mayroon nang dalawang pilak at dalawang tansong medalya ang Pilipinas sa swimming competition ng annual meet. BRM
