Mojdeh, Tom 5 golds na rin

ILAGAN City, Isabela, Philippines –Sumisid ng tig-limang gintong medalya sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Parañaque at Aubrey Tom ng Cainta, Rizal matapos l mangoy pa ng tig-isa kahapon sa huling araw ng swimming competition ng 2019 Philippine Sports Commission-Batang Pinoy Luzon Qualifying Leg sa Old Isabela Sports Complex dito.

Inangkin ng 12-anyos na si Mojdeh ang ginto sa girls 13-15-year 200-m butterfly sa oras na 2:15.74 para maging isa sa tatlong swimmers na nag-uwi ng limang gintong medalya kasama ang kanyang Parañaque teammate na si 12-anyos Mark Bryan Dula noong isang araw.

Ang ibang panalo ng Grade VII estudyante Immaculate Heart of Mary College na si Mojdeh ay sa 100-m butterfly (1:06.30) at 50-m butterfly (33.44). D nomina rin ni Mojdeh ang 200-m IM (2:34.91) at 400-m IM (5:25.11) noong Martes.

Hindi rin nagpahuli ang 12-anyos na si Tom matapos itakas ang ginto sa girls 50-m freestyle (29.46) upang idagdag sa panalo ang 200-m IM (2:07.95), 100-m freestyle (1:04.24) at 50-m backstroke (34.20). Nanalo rin ang  Grade VI estudyante ng International Learning Academy na si Tom sa 50-m bu terfly (31.64).

“I’m very glad all my personal best time has improved a lot here in Batang Pinoy even if this is just my first time in this competition,” ayon kay Tom na sasabak din sa 2019 Palarong Pambansa sa susunod na buwan sa Davao City.

Pagkatapos ng medal-rich aquatics, tatlo silang nag-uwi ng limang ginto kabilang na ang Grade VI estudyante ng Mashville Elementary School na si Dula na humakot ng apat sa isang araw noong Miyerkules at isa noong Martes.

Nag-uwi rin ng tig-tatlong ginto sina Dagupan City teammates  Janelle Alisa Lin (girls 15-year and under 800-m freestyle, 400-m freestyle at 200-m freestyle) at Gabriel Jizmundo (boys 13-15-year 200-m IM, 50-m breaststroke at 100-m breaststroke).

Umani rin tig-tatlo sina Sophia Manantan ng Puerto Princesa City (girls 13-15-year 100-m freestyle, 50-m breaststroke at 100-m breaststroke) at Phi­lip Miguel Mendoza ng Laguna (boys 15-year and under 1500-m freestyle, 400-m IM at 200-m freestyle).
