MANILA, Philippines – Ipaparada ng PLDT Home Ultera si UAAP Most Valuable Player Alyssa Valdez sa pagsagupa sa Army sa Game One ng Shakey’s V-League Season 12-Reinforced Conference Finals ngayon sa The Arena sa San Juan City.

Magtatagpo ang Ultrafast Hitters at ang Lady Troopers ngayong alas-12:45 ng hapon sa Game One ng kanilang best-of-three title series.

Dinomina ng PLDT ang University of the Phi­lip­pines, 25-11, 25-17, 25-17, habang pinabagsak ng Army ang Navy, 25-16, 25-10, 25-22, sa ka­nilang mga semifinals matches noong nakaraang ling­go.

Tinalo na ng Lady Troopers ang Ultrafast Hitters, 25-23, 23-25, 25-11, 19-25, 15-13, sa elimina­tion round noong Oktubre 25.

Ngunit labis na nagpalakas ang PLDT sa pag­hugot kina American imports at dating US NCAA Di­vision I standouts Victoria Hurtt at Sareaa Freeman.

Makakatuwang nina Hurtt at Freeman si Valdez, ang Open at Collegiate Conference MVP.

“It will mean more attacking options for us with Alyssa around,” sabi ni Gorayeb sa paglalaro ni Valdez.

Hindi nakalaro si Valdez sa elimination round pa­ti na sa semifinals dahil sa kanyang beach volley commitment sa Ateneo at ang nararamdamang back injury.

Ibabandera namang muli ng Army sina Tina Sa­lak, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Aby Maraño, Honey Royse Tubino at Mary Remy Joy Palma among others.

Maliban kina Hurtt, Freeman at Valdez ay aasahan din ng PLDT sina dating league MVP Aiza Pontillas at Janine Marciano, nangga­ling sa Caga­yan Valley Rising Suns.
