Nakukulangan si coach Tim sa Ginebra

Russell Cadayona - Pang-masa

MANILA, Philippines -  Aasahan ng Barangay Ginebra sina seven-foot center Greg Slaughter, 6’8 forward Japeth Aguilar, point guard LA Tenorio at sina one-time PBA Most Valuable Player Jayjay Helterbrand at Mark Caguiao.

“There has to be ba-lance,” wika kahapon ng two-time PBA Grand Slam champion coach sa Ginebra. “Ginebra has a strong lineup. But I find it a little unbalanced.”

“There has to be a better balance. Maybe one or two conferences you have to figure out who you want in the team,” wika ng 57-anyos na si Cone, may hawak ng pinakamaraming titulo sa hanay ng mga PBA coaches sa bilang na 18.

“If you get the guys to buy in defensively, then we’re going to do something good,” wika ni Cone, nagbigay ng limang korona para sa Purefoods/San Mig Coffee, na inaasahang gagamitin ang kanyang pamatay na ‘triangle offense’. “It’s always a process to get that buy-in going with the players.”
