Lee nagbida sa panalo ng Painters

MANILA, Philippines - Naglaro na tila isang im­port si guard Paul Lee para tulungan ang Elasto Painters na makamit ang ka­nilang unang panalo sa 2015 PBA Commissio­ner’s Cup.

Kumamada si Lee ng team-high na 25 points, ha­bang nagdagdag si import Rick Jackson ng 17 mar­kers para ihatid ang Rain or Shine sa 96-91 paggiba sa NLEX kagabi sa Smart Araneta Colise­um.

Inamin ni Elasto Pain­ters’ head coach Yeng Guiao na nahirapan sila ki­na NBA veteran Al Thornton at 6-foot-10 Asi Tau­lava, tumapos na may 28 at 17 points, ayon sa pag­kakasunod, para sa Road Warriors.

“We struggled a little bit in the second half because they’re still bigger than we are. Even our import (Jackson) was having a hard time with Asi (Taulava),” ani Guiao. “Asi and Thornton giving us problems, the little guys got open with their three-point shots.”

Ibinigay ni Lee sa Rain or Shine ang 10-point lead, 60-50, sa ila­­lim ng limang minuto sa third period.

Kumamada ng jumper si Lee kasunod ang three-point shot ni Jonathan Uy­loan at spin move ni Gabe Norwood para muling ilayo ang Elasto Painters sa Road Warriors sa 90-84 sa huling 1:37 minuto ng labanan.
