Asian Juniors and Girls’ Chess C’ship, Indian IM Narayanan nangunguna na

TAGAYTAY CITY, Philippines -- Kinuha ni International Master Srinath Narayanan  ng India ang pangunguna nang kanyang igupo si Istraelito Rilloraza noong Lunes ng gabi sa fifth round ng 2014 Asian Juniors and Girls’ Chess Championships na ginaganap sa Tagaytay International Convention Center.

Handa nang kunin ng knight ni Narayanan ang queen at rook ni Rilloraza nang isuko ng Far Eastern University high school sophomore ang laban.

Itinaas ng defending champion ang kanyang estado sa 4.5 points kasunod si Fide Master Paulo Bersamina (3.5) patungo sa huling apat na rounds.

Nagkasundo sa draw sina Bersamina at IM Jan Emmanuel Garcia na nagbigay ng pagkakataon kay Narayanan na makalayo sa Open division ng torneong para sa players na may edad 20-anyos pababa.

Samantala, tinalo ni Daryl Unix Samantila si Bang-ladeshi Haque Siam Israel para makisosyo kina Ber-samina at Mongolian FM Sumiya Bilguun.

Pinayuko naman ni Bilguun si John Merill Jacutina para maunahan si Garcia (3.0).

Sa girls’ division, dinaig ni WIM Furtado Ivana Maria ng India ang kababayang si WFM Rucha Pujari para makasalo si WFM Sholpan Zhylkaidarova ng Kazakhstan sa itaas sa magkatulad nilang 4.0 points.

Binigo ni Mikee Charlene Suede si Indian WFM Rucha Pujari para sa kanyang ikatlong sunod na panalo sa itinalang 3.5 points.
