Cavs, Heat nagkailangan sa laro

RIO DE JANEIRO, Philippines -- Bagama’t ayaw ng Miami Heat na maging ‘big deal’ ang kanilang pagharap kay LeBron James, sinabi nina coach Erik Spoelstra at Chris Bosh na mabuti at natapos na ito.

Sinabi ni Spoelstra na naramdaman nila ang pagkakaroon ng ilangan sa preseason game sa Rio de Janeiro, samantalang umaasa naman si Bosh na makaka-move on na ang lahat.

Nanalo ang Cleveland Cavaliers sa Heat sa overtime, 122-119, kung saan nagtala si James ng 7 points at 8 assists sa loob ng 20 minuto paglalaro sa HSBC Arena.

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na nilabanan ni James ang Heat matapos magbalik sa Ohio nang tulungan ang kanyang mga dating kakampi sa pag-angkin sa dalawang NBA titles sa loob ng 4-finals appearance.

“For me it was a special moment to be back there competing against my old teammates,’’ sabi ni James. “I didn’t get that awkward feeling, but a lot of memories came back about the things that we accomplished.’’

Halos hindi nakipag-usap si James sa kanyang mga dating teammates bago magsimula ang laro at kahit habang nasa kasagsagan ang laro.

“If you have to do something like this, I think it really benefits both teams to get the awkwardness out of the way in the preseason,’’ sabi ni Spoelstra. ‘’There was certainly a level of strangeness to it.’’
