2-sunod na panalo kay Suarez

ALMATY, Kazakhs-tan – Itinala ni Charly Suarez ang kanyang ikalawang sunod na panalo matapos talunin si Jumsakbaev ng Kazakhstan sa 4th Kazakhstan President’s Cup dito sa Baluan Sholak Palace of Culture and Sports.

Ito ang unang international stint ni Suarez matapos lumaban para sa Milano Thunder sa World Series of Boxing noong Pebrero ng nakaraang taon.

Hindi naman sinuwerte si Dennis Galvan makaraang mabigo kay Chinzorig ng Mongolian via unanimous decision.

Samantala, nakatakdang labanan ni 2010 Asian Games gold meda-list at first day winner na si Rey Saludar si Cuban Jorge Vivas, ang American Continental champion.

Umiskor si Vivas ng isang knockdown win laban kay Thai Chatchai Butdee.

Sa light flyweight class, sasagupain naman ni Rogen Ladon si Erjan ng Kazakhstan.

Nakakuha si Ladon ng bye patungo sa quarterfinals.

Magtatapos ang week-long tournament, umakit ng 104 male boxers mula sa 12 bansa sa Linggo.

Sina national coaches Nolito Velasco at Elmer Pamisa ang mga naging corner man habang si  Abap executive director Ed Picson naman ang team manager.
