Bibisita rin sa Pinas si Kawhi Leonard

MANILA, Philippines - Personal na matutunghayan ng mga Filipino fans ang laro ni San Antonio Spurs forward at 2014 NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Kawhi Leonard sa pakikibahagi nito sa isang charity game.

Ang 6-foot-7 na si Leonard ay nagtala ng mga ave-rages na 17.8 points, 6.4 rebounds at 2.0 assists para sa Spurs sa kanilang championship series ng Miami Heat.

Bukod kay Leonard, darating din sa Pilipinas sina Kyle Lowry ng Toronto Raptors at Houston Rockets’ rookie Nick Johnson.

Ang grupo ng mga NBA stars ang sasagupa sa Gilas Pilipinas para sa isang charity game na tinaguriang “Gilas’ Last Home Stand” sa Hulyo 22-23 sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Labis ding ikinatuwa ni Gilas Pilipinas’ head coach Chot Reyes ang pagbisita nina Leonard, Johnson at Lowry. “Hold ur right palm up. Cuff ur right wrist w ur left hand & welcome FINALS MVP KAWHI LEONARD #GilasLastHOMEStand w Nick Johnson & Kyle Lowry!,” ani Reyes sa kanyang Twitter account na @coachot.

Sina Leonard, Johnson at Lowry ay makakasama nina Blake Griffin ng LA Clippers, Damian Lillard ng Portland, Paul Pierce ng Brooklyn at DeMar DeRozan ng Toronto.

Ito ang ikalawang pagkakataon na dadalhin sa bansa ni MVP ang mga NBA stars matapos sina Kobe Bryant, NBA MVP Kevin Durant, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, James Har-den, Tyreke Evans, Derek Fisher, Derrick Williams at JaVale McGee. (RC)
