Air Force sa 1st leg ng Cobra-PDBF Dragon Boat race
MANILA, Philippines - Dinomina ng Philippine Air Force ang opening leg ng 2014 Cobra Energy Drink-PDBF Dragon Boat Regatta sa Manila Bay sa Roxas Boulevard sa Manila.
Pinagreynahan ng Air Force paddlers ang women’s 300-meter standard boat division sa bilis na isang minuto at 40.8 segundo para talunin ang Philippine Coast Guard A sa event na humakot ng record na 49 koponan.
Namayani din ang Air Force sa mixed class (1:24.31) matapos ungusan ang Coast Guard (1:24.86) at Triton (1:25.84) sa kompetis-yong itinaguyod ng na-ngungunang energy drink.
Ngunit nabigo ang Air Force na walisin ang tatlong race categories makaraang pumangalawa sa (1:21.85) paboritong Army (1:17.37) kasunod ang Coast Guard (1:22.07) sa event na inorganisa ng Philippine Dragon Boat Federation.
“There would have been more entries had we pushed through with the original schedule of March 2 but some clubs had to beg off because their paddlers also had work on weekends,†sabi ni PDBF president Marcia Cristobal.
