Durant sinapawan si Anthony

OKLAHOMA CITY, Philippines -- Ang showdown sa pagitan ng top two scorers sa NBA ay naging isang mismatch.

Umiskor si Kevin Durant ng 41 points para pahiyain si Carmelo Anthony ng New York at pangunahan ang Thunder sa 112-100 panalo kontra sa Knicks.

Nagtala rin si Durant, ang leading scorer ng liga, ng 10 rebounds at 9 assists.

Tumipa naman si Anthony, ang No. 2 scorer ng NBA, ng 15 points mula sa malamya niyang 5-for-19 fieldgoal shooting para sa Knicks.

Inilabas ni Thunder coach Scott Brooks si Durant sa huling 1:24 minuto ng laro na nagkait kay Durant ng isang bihirang 40-point triple-double na isang assist lamang ang kulang.

Pinahirapan rin ni Durant sa depensa si Anthony.

“He missed some shots that he normally makes,’’ ani Durant. “I just tried to play as strong as I can, contest some shots and not get discouraged when he hits them because he makes tough shots and he’s a guy that can get hot. I just try to rely on my teammates, and they did a great job of helping me out, building a wall behind me, and I just tried to play as hard as I can.’’

Nagdagdag si Reggie Jackson ng 19 points at 6 assists at humakot si Serge Ibaka ng 16 points at 9 rebounds para sa Thunder, nanggaling sa 102-103 kabiguan sa Orlando Magic noong Biyernes.

Naglista naman sina Raymond Felton at Amare Stoudemire ng tig-16 points para sa Knicks na naipatalo ang apat sa kanilang huling limang laro.
