Igalang ang diskarte ng Barako

MANILA, Philippines - Marami ang nagulat nang ipamigay ng Barako Bull ang kanilang No. 4, 5 at 6 overall picks sa nakaraang 2013 PBA Rookie Draft at hinayaan ang pagkakataong makuha ang mga kagaya nina Terrence Romeo at RR Garcia at Fil-Canadian James Forrester.

Ngunit hindi si PBA Commissioner Chito Salud na nagsabing ito ay sariling kagustuhan ng Barako Bull at kailangan niya itong igalang.

“It remains clearly and solely within the ballclub’s prerogative and the teams would thus be in the best position to explain the direction they have chose to take, provided of course there are no one-sided trades involved,” ani Salud.

Maski si Talk ‘N Text at Meralco team owner Manny V. Pangilinan ay hindi naiwasang magkomento sa hakbang ng Energy.

“Barako gave up all its 1st round picks, and did its 2nd round. ‘The world wonders’ - Admiral Chester W Nimitz :),” sabi ni Pa-ngilinan sa kanyang Twitter account na @iamMVP.

Dinala ng Barako Bull ang kanilang No. 4 pick sa Barangay Ginebra kapalit nina veteran Rico Maierhofer at Willy Wilson, habang nakuha nila sina Magi Sison at Mark Isip mula sa Petron Blaze para sa No. 5 pick. Ibinigay ng Energy ang kanilang No. 6 pick sa Globalport Batang Pier para kay veteran guard Denok Miranda.

Bukod dito ay dinala ng Barako Bull si center Rico Villanueva sa Globalport para makuha si Willie Miller.
