Banchero, Boracay okay na
MANILA, Philippines - Nagkasundo na si PBA D-League top draft pick Chris Banchero at ang Boracay Rum noong Lunes ngunit may mga kailangan pang linawin sa kontrata.
“Chris has actually agreed and already signed the tender offer sheet. We’re just sorting out some details in the contract,†pahayag ng agent ni Banchero na si Marvin Espiritu.
Si Banchero, San Miguel Beer Light image model, ay pinayagan ni San Miguel Corp. chief Ramon Ang sa pamamagitan ni PBA chairman Robert Non na lumaro sa Waves.
Nilinaw ni Espiritu na ang kontrata sa pagitan ni Banchero at ng Waves ay sa basketball lamang at ang image ng player ay hindi maaaring gamitin ng Boracay Rum sa advertising purposes.
“PBA chairman Non has agreed to let Chris pursue his PBA dream,†sabi ni Espiritu. “So Chris will surely play in first confe-rence of the D-League.â€
Ngunit humiling ang kampo ni Banchero sa Boracay Rum management na magkaroon ng clause sa kontrata ukol sa posibleng offer na duma-ting mula sa liga sa abroad sa kasagsagan ng season.
“We see no problem in the first conference since the Asean Basketball League would start only in the second conference of the D-League. By then, it’s up to Chris to make the decision,†ani Espiritu.
