Juniors player ng UP idineklarang ineligible ng UAAP
MANILA, Philippines - Idineklara ng UAAP Board na ineligible si juniors basketball player Jozhua Mcdaniel General ng University of the Phi-lippines.
Inihayag ng UAAP Board na hindi nakapasa si General sa ipinatutupad na maximum years para sa isang high school player sa kabila ng apela ng UP.
“The UAAP Board of Trustees upheld its decision to declare Mr. General as ineligible to play starting UAAP Season 76, for exceeding the allowed maximum years in high school reckoned from the earliest date of graduation from elementary,†sabi ni UAAP president Fr. Max Rendon, CM, ng host Adamson.
Ang nasabing one-page letter ay para kina UP chancellor Dr. Caesar Saloma at board representative Ronualdo Dizer.
Dahil dito, binawi ng UAAP ang nag-iisang panalo ng Junior Maroons sa kasalukuyang 76th season.
Kinuha ng koponan ang isang 89-87 quadruple overtime win kontra sa Adamson Junior Falcons noong Hulyo 15 sa MOA Arena sa Pasay City.
“The Board also upheld its decision to forfeit all games played by the UP junior basketball team where Mr. General played for UAAP Season 76,†ani Rendon.
May 0-6 record ang UP sa seniors at juniors divisions.
