NBA owners di inaprubahan ang paglipat ng Kings sa Seattle

DALLAS  -- Mananatili ang Kings sa Sacramento at maghihintay uli ang Seattle ng ibang  NBA franchise.

At kung sino ang magmamay-ari ng team, sinabi ni Commissioner David Stern na kailangang malinawan na rin agad ito.

Bumoto ang mga league owners  nitong Miyerkules na sundin ang recommendation ng kanilang relocation committee na i-reject ang paglipat ng Kings.

Sinabi ni Stern na inaasahan niyang magkakaroon na agad ng kasunduan sa loob ng 48-oras kung sino ang bibili ng team sa Maloof brothers.

“And now we think that because the Maloofs have overall been very good for Sacramento and the Kings and the NBA, that they will be motivated to do something fast so that the franchise can get cracking,’’ sabi ni Stern.

Ang 22-8 vote ng Board of Governors ang nagbasura sa kasunduan na ibenta ang 65 percent controlling inte-rest sa  total franchise valuation na $625 million sa Seattle group sa pangunguna ng investor na si Chris Hansen na dinoble ang offer matapos iparamdam ng NBA na ayaw nilang ma-relocate ang team.

Ngayon, kailangang makapagselyo ang Maloofs ng deal sa original price ng Hansen na $525 million sa grupong binuo ni Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, dating All-Star guard, na pinangungunahan ni TIBCO software chairman Vivek Ranadive.
