Bobby Parks pararangalan ng PBA

MANILA, Philippines - Bago pa man magsi­mula ang lumalakas na ingay mula sa PBA fans pa­ra ipangalan sa yumaong si Bobby Parks ang Best Import trophy ng li­ga, naipangako na pala ito ni PBA Commissioner Chito Salud sa kanyang pag-upo tatlong taon na ang nakaraan sa kanilang unang pagkikita.

Isasakatuparan na ito ni Salud para sa kasalukuyang 2013 PBA Commissioner’s Cup kung saan iha­handog ang kauna-una­hang Bobby Parks Tro­phy para sa mananalo ng Best Import award sa Game 3 ng bets-of-five cham­pionship series.

Yumao ang seven-time PBA Best Import noong Sabado dahil sa lung cancer sa edad na 51-anyos.

“Very apt, very appro­priate especially now a days that we’re looking for an import who not on­ly plays well on court but also plays as a role mo­del off court. On and off court decorum nobody does it better than Bobby Parks,” ani Salud.

“Parks is the perfect example of how an import should conduct himself off and on the court. I commiserate with the fa­mily of Mr.  Bobby Parks.  He will be missed, and thank you for all is contri­butions to the PBA,” dagdag ni Salud.

Naglaro noong 1987-1999, hinirang si Parks bilang Best Import ng pitong beses.
