Every night it gets better!

“I always knew that my good friend  Iza Calzado was talented.  However I only truly felt the transcendental power of her acting craft when I had the privilege in watching her in her new play by The Sandbox Company called Tiny Beautiful things.  Here she plays Sugar.  Sugar, writes an advice column for a paper and through the course of the play we witness how the story of her life and those that seeks her advice are all woven into this beautiful and complex tapestry of what we call life.  The stage is set like an an arena where in you see the story being told in a novel 360 degree manner. It is an introspective story filled with deep and raw emotions.  I for one felt like I was in a roller coaster ride of all the different feels. Like a tempest of emotions that after an hour and forty five minutes I felt like I came out from a fabulous session with my therapist. Kidding aside this is probably the best play I have seen this year!   The acting was just flawless: clear, unaffected, believable.  However my dear IZA was just mind bendingly brilliant! It was relevant, truthful, poignant, funny, fearless and simply sensational!  Do yourself the favor in coming to see this beautiful production. Tiny Beautiful Things is on till Dec 8 OH!  Please bring some tissues!  I PROMISE THAT YOU WILL NEED THEM!”

Makikita natin!
