Kamakailan ay pinarangalan si Lea Salonga ng 2024 Gawad CCP para sa Sining. Isang malaking karangalan para sa international singer na kilalanin ng Cultural Center of the Philippines ang kanyang mga naging kontribusyon sa entertainment industry. “CCP was my home for ‘The King and I,’ the first show I ever did. It was my home for ‘Annie,’ ‘Miss Saigon,’ where I auditioned in the first place when I was 17. I spent a lot of time on those stages. So, it is an absolute honor to be receiving this,” pagdedetalye ni Lea.
Nagbigay rin ng reaksyon ang singer tungkol sa National Artist award na nararapat na umanong maigawad sa kanya. Ayon kay Lea ay mayroon pang mas karapat-dapat na mabigyang-parangal na naging alagad ng sining. “No, there are folks who are far more deserving and whose National Artists Awards are long overdue. I would love to see somebody like Dolphy, for example. We have to judge him as an artist for his body of work. He has contributed so much, even the movies where he is cross-dressing. It lends so much tolerance and so much acceptance towards LGBT community. Even if that was not his intention at that time, that was an effect. I think he should be heralded first. Hopefully, I will be given an opportunity to champion him,” makahulugang paliwanag ng singer.
Maine, prangka sa lasa ng mga negosyong manok ni Arjo
Bukod sa pagiging isang aktor ay naglilingkod din bilang Congressman si Arjo Atayde sa District 1 ng Quezon City. Tutok din si Arjo sa kanyang food business na ‘Inasal Republic’ na mayroon ng ilang mga sangay ngayon. “I do business at night after everything. I have to work during the day. I really want to grow into it, learn more about it, explore and travel, and understand Filipino infusion. I’m starting here at Inasal Republic and as to why I entered the inasal industry. It’s not a big industry but because of course I trust the product. I won’t jump into something if I don’t trust it, just like everybody else,” paglalahad ni Arjo sa ABS-CBN News.

Prangka umano ang misis ni Arjo tungkol sa lasa ng kanilang mga pagkain. “She’s very supportive, especially kapag may gustong luto. There’s no perfect restaurant. There’s always something wrong but I guess it’s something you really have to avoid and that’s what we’re trying to be keen on to really be able to serve the best we can.
