Si Miklo Tuki

Sinubukan noon ni Michael Magbag ang showbiz pero na-realize nya na hindi ito para sa kanya. (e, ako kaya ano ang para sa akin?!)

“It was during my college days when I was exposed to showbiz. I was able to develop my self confidence. My ma-nager would book me to some projects as extra talent on television and movies (e.g. Iskul Bukol, Ora Engkantada, Elias A.D., Kailan Mahuhugasan Ang Kasalanan and more). But I did not continue showbiz anymore because I think it’s not for me and being in the corporate world gives me more challenges,” pag-alala ni Michael. (classic ng shows ha!)

Sinundan nya ang yapak ng kanyang ama. “My dad was a medical representative in Unilab. Together with some friends in the same field, they decided to put up their own laboratory and pharmaceutical company. Moving forward, my dad inspired me to be in the same field. I became a medical representative in a multinational pharma company (Hoechst) before I joined my parent’s pharmaceutical company (Pharma Dynamic, Inc.). I became a medical representative for years assigned in Tarlac and rose from the ranks until I became the president and general manager of the company. Managing a pharmaceutical company exposes me to different kinds of field from science to marketing, finance, information technology and a lot more. (ay may sinasabi sa lipunan, i-friend ko na ‘to!)

Two Years ago habang abala sya sa kanyang trabaho, naisipan nyang mag-produce ng sariling vlogs. “It might sound morbid but I want to leave some happy memories and share new experiences before I go to the other world. This is how I ma-naged my anxiety during the pandemic. It started with a simple video of a salt water aquarium last November 2022.” (ibang aquarium ‘yung alam ko!)

Tinawag nya ang kanyang Youtube Channel na MikloTuki: “My dad is from Bamban, Tarlac and my mom is from Bacon, Sorsogon (with Spanish descent). I was born in Tarlac, Tarlac because my dad was assigned in Tarlac as a medrep in Unilab. My dad’s friends calls me Miklo (my baby name) Tuki (kapampangan word for “to come” or “Tara” in tagalong). As a baby, I will go with them. Believe it or not I can still remember them saying “Miklo Tuki” while I’m in my crib. So, I used “Miklo Tuki” in my vlog as I share my adventures on food, travel and life in general. (lumaki po ba kayo sa farm sir?!)

Kadalasan ay tungkol sa pagkain ang laman ng kanyang content. (ay pwede po makikain sa inyo?!)

“I chose food as a content because I eat a lot (he he he) and I love to cook. Anything that has something to do with food interest me a lot and I want to share those experiences. Travelling will always be part of any food adventure. And I included “Life In General” because there will always be important chapters/episodes in my life that people will learn from it,” pagpapaliwanang ni Michael. (MMK episode po ba ito?)

Sinisigurado rin ni Michael, na isa ring certified art collector, ( FU art supporter ‘yan, baka bet mo pa ha!) na bawal ang nega sa kanyang mga ina-upload na videos. “The fulfillment of vlogging is when people acknowledge my works when they see me. At the same time, I got to promote the places that I go to. I only upload videos that are worth sharing. (Meaning there are some videos which I have no plans of uploading in my youtube channel due to some poor reviews). Like my motto in my vlog “Good Vibes Laang” (ibigay mo na lang sa content creator na bad vibes!)

Isa sa paborito nyang nagawa ay ang shoot nya sa ibang bansa. (sowsyal!!!) “I have some favorite vlogs, but my most memorable is the “SUMMER COTTAGE EXPERIENCE (CANADIAN LIFESTYLE IN ONTARIO)” where I stayed with my cousin’s family during an AirBNB in Ontario. It’s like being just me, relaxing, and enjoying nature and the company of my relatives, “paglalahad ni Michael (ay pa-fly ako dyan, mamaya!)

Tuloy-tuloy lang ang adventures ni Miklo Tuki at may inihahanda pang pasabog. “My dream project is to come up with a music video that will give inspiration/entertainment to people. I was just talking about a concept to a few of my friends about it and this will be my long term goal.” (pwede akong rumaket na dan-cer dyan sa video mo sir!)
