May fear na si Martin Nieverra sa malalaking venue.
Ang rason, kahit wala pang nakakaagaw ng kanyang trono bilang Concert King, naiisip niya na baka hindi na niya mapuno ito.
Kaya kung siya ang tatanungin, mas gusto niya sa intimate venues.
“I have my fears. At Solaire, I’m happy there. I didn’t think I have to go back to big venues. Nakakatakot, eh. Soloist, ikaw lang?” pag-amin ng one and only Concert King sa presscon kahapon para sa kanyang 42nd anniversary concert na gaganapin sa Sept. 27, 2024, Araneta Coliseum, The King 4ever.
Realistic siya sa kasalukuyang panahon, na hindi katulad nung kalakasan ng career niya. “I was against doing it at a big venue. I don’t think I can do it by myself anymore like I used to. You all know, we all know about it—how well I could fill up this venue or that venue and have 3 or 4 shows or concerts in a year. That doesn’t happen anymore for the likes of me,” dagdag ni Martin.
“But I’m okay with that. It doesn’t bother me. I don’t feel I’m out of the game or out of the loop. Andiyan pa rin naman ako, feeling ko, andiyan pa rin ako, interesado pa ako sa industry, I want to make it better. I want to live a legacy where I can be remembered by my music, by my good decisions, not just my bad ones, but my good decisions that people who follow my footsteps will have a nice path to follow,” sabi pa niya kahapon.
Ang grupo ni Ogie Alcasid ang producer ng The King 4ever.
“He said, it’s about time that I have another big concert, so he, and Cacai (Velasquez) together and they said, ‘Martin has to have a big show,’” pagkukuwento pa ni Martin habang si Ogie ay emosyonal na inaming super idol niya noon pa man ang Concert King.
