Benjamin, gusto rin ng wall of awards ni Piolo

Isang malaking karangalan para kay Benjamin Alves na makatrabaho sina Bea Alonzo at Carla Abellana sa Widows’ War. Ayon sa Kapuso actor ay talagang parehong magaling na aktres ang dalawa. “With Carla, I’ve worked with her before. So, there’s familiarity with me. There’s a feeling of home and some rapport that we’ve had. We’ve been able to work a few times. And she’s a good friend of mine.

“With Bea, sobrang relentless focus. I love her on set. I just knew she’s gonna bring it. When Bea actually came to the network, I already just like the bucket list of every actor to be able to work with her. And what a great opportunity to be able to work with her as a foil to be against her, not a love team, not a brother. Talagang we’re fighting on the scene. Like me and you, we’re gonna try to kill each other. That was so great. She always listens,” pagbabahagi ni Benjamin sa amin sa Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

Ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na nakatrabaho ng aktor si Bea. Sinisikap umano ni Benjamin na pantayan ang talento sa pag-arte ng aktres upang mapaganda ang kanilang mga eksena.  “When we do our rehearsals, we’ll do the lines but then at the moment you throw something at her and she receives it. And it’s always in character. So, what you see on the screen is 110% from what the script is. It becomes alive, it becomes organic. ‘Yung dialogue namin nanganganak because of the rapport. The humility of her and her focus that to respect my craft, and I respect hers. Kaya gumaganda po ‘yung eksena,” paglalahad niya.

Si Benjamin ay pamangkin ni Piolo Pascual. Kahit noong nagsisimula pa lamang ay hindi raw ginamit ng Kapuso actor ang koneksyon nila ni Piolo upang sumikat sa show business. “I wanted to respect whatever he went through knowing what he had to go through and hardships, and the journey. I need to experience that for myself. I think I needed to go through that in order to appreciate what I have now. I’ve always been in dialogue with him. I’ve relationship with him.  Even when I had moved to GMA, he was one of the first people that I talked to and informed him about it. I wanted to have the full-experience I think,” makahulugang paliwanag ng aktor.

Nagsisilbing inspirasyon si Piolo sa Kapuso actor. Nangangarap si Benjamin na magkaroon  din ng maraming awards katulad ng Kapamilya actor. “As an actor, more challenging roles to be challenged. A recognition I think. When I see Kuya PJ’s (Piolo) house, the thing that I focus on, no matter how grand the house is, is the endless wall of awards. And I’ve always, like you know, that this guy built this house because of the passion that he had, and the talent that he had. Recognition, I don’t know if it’s a good thing to say,” nakangiting pagtatapat ng Kapuso actor.

Samantala, nitong Enero lamang nagpakasal sina Benjamin at Chelsea Robato. Nagpaplano na umanong bumuo ng sariling pamilya ng aktor. “The perfect role I would want is to become a father in real life. From the co-actors that I’ve worked with, iba eh. You come on set and there’s a deeper meaning. And there’s a deeper meaning why you’re  on set. And ‘yung excitement nilang umuwi para makita nila ‘yung pamilya nila, I want that for me and my wife,” pagtatapos ni Benjamin.
