Ginastusan nang bongga... When I Meet... nina Vilma at Boyet, 95% ang eksena sa Japan

Kung si Vilma Santos ang nag-iisang Star For All Seasons sa showbiz industry, ang tambalan naman nila ni Christopher de Leon o ang Vi-Boyet loveteam ang masasabing Love team For All Seasons.

Imagine, 48 years na pala ang kanilang loveteam na nagsimula nung 1975 sa pelikulang Tag-ulan Sa Tag-araw, na parang kailan lang.

Tinanggap ang Vi-Boyet loveteam since then.

Hanggang na-sustain ito ng mga blockbuster at award-winning movies na pinagtambalan nila tulad ng Relasyon, Hanggang Ngayon Ika’y Minamahal, Minsan Pa Nating Hagkan Ang Nakaraan, Sinasamba Kita, Imortal, Dekada ‘70 at marami pang iba.

Huli silang nagkatambal sa pelikulang Mano Po 3 nung 2004.

Kaya naman tiyak na excited na ang lahat sa kanilang reunion project na When I Met You In Tokyo ng JG Productions sa ilalim ng direksyon nina Direk Rado Peru, Direk Rommel Penesa at ni Christopher bilang associate director. Ang pelikula ay mula sa panulat ni Ms. Suzette Doctolero.

“I’m very excited about the movie,” bungad na kuwento ni Ate Vi. “Right away I  fell in love with the story plus with Christopher pa kaya ‘di ako nahi­rpan umoo. I chose this film because I know it’s not gonna be easy for me to face the camera again. With Yetbo alam ko na he will guide me, he will motivate me kasi malalabas niya kung anuman ang character ko. Alam ko with Yetbo alam niya kung paano ilabas ‘yung character na hinahanap ko for the movie or for the script. I missed the team-up with Yetbo.”

Sa true lang, kitang-kita at ramdam ng lahat na nandun pa rin ang chemistry sa tambalang Vi-Boyet na kahit si Ate Vi ay ramdam na ramdam. “Ganun pa rin eh, natatawa nga kaming dalawa kasi parang it’s better nga kasi we’re more matured. Hindi mo naman maipapaliwanag, ‘di mo naman magagawa ang chemistry. Ang chemistry innate eh, lumalabas ‘yun and I think that’s one thing that I have with Yetbo and vice-versa. Kung bakit hanggang ngayon, for so many years heto pa rin kami, we’re still doing a movie. ‘Yan yung chemistry namin talaga is the magic,” natatawang kuwento pa ni Ate Vi.

At ang bongga sa When I Met You In Tokyo ay almost 95% ng mga eksena ay kinunan sa Japan kung saan isang buwan silang namalagi roon na paboritong pasyalan ng mga Pinoy. “Ang sarap, super sarap. Japan is so visually rich, ‘yun ang reason kung bakit kami dun nag-shoot. We don’t see much more of the city, siguro mga 20% but the main story revolves around yung mga outskirt of Japan, the culture of Japan. The beauty of countryside in Japan, mas nag-concentrate kami dun,” masayang kuwento naman ni Boyet.

Dagdag naman ni Ate Vi,  “it was very smooth, may mga obstacles natural naman ‘yun ‘di ba? Kahit naman dito but again we all worked hard, talagang binigay namin ‘yung share ng bawat isa. Especially ako in my case talagang sinapuso ko si Azon same thing I guess with Yetbo as Joey and then ‘yung aming mga producer, and all the staff. We have a very reliable technical staff headed of course by Shayne Sarte, ‘yung aming cinematographer. Pero alam mo we were able to work harmo­niously and natapos ‘yung dapat naming gawin.”

Isang OFW love story ito ng magkaibigan na nauwi sa pagmamahalan nung may edad na sila.

“Kung ano ‘yung nakikita n’yong acting namin sa age namin ngayon, ganito rin yung makikita n’yo sa movie. ‘Di kami magbabata-bataan pero ‘di naman kami ‘yung uugod-ugod. Kung gaano kami kakalog ngayon, ito pa rin ‘yung makikita n’yo sa pelikula. Hindi porke’t sinabi namin it’s a matured, older love story, no, heto, kung ano kami ngayon heto ang makikita n’yo sa movie. I think it’s a matured love, intelihenteng love. Hindi ito ‘yung love na pang-teenager lang na type kita ngayon, bukas hindi. It’s more of you will feel a more matured and true love sa klase ng movie na ginawa namin. ‘Yun ang difference siguro,” pagpapatuloy ng Star For All Seasons.

“What we are going to show in this movie is a different kind of love, creative and quality  love. ‘Yung romance nung dalawang characters, it has no boundaries. Even if you’re much older than our age now, it doesn’t stop. If you watch the movie, you’re going to laugh and fall in love. Again in love there’s no boundaries, it will come,” patapos na pahayag naman ng aktor.

Umaasa ang marami na papasok ito sa eight official entries ng Metro Manila Film Festival  (MMFF) ngayong taon.
