Inaasahan ang pagdating ng maraming celebrity at customers sa oldest bakery sa bansa, 84-year-old Kamuning Bakery Café, sa taunang celebration ng annual #WorldPandesal Day on Oct. 16.
Kabilang na sa mga naunang nakiisa sa pagdiriwang nito sina Deputy Speaker. “My favorite is coffee and cheese in my Pandesal!!!” consistent na sabi ni Ate Vi na busy nga ngayon sa kanyang apo na si Baby Peanut.
Ganundin sila Mother Lily Y. Monteverde na aniya ay bata pa siya ay paborito na niya ang Pandesal breads with bukayo
Ayon naman sa actress na si Iza Calzado “Pandesal toasted with kesong puti and butter and hot chocolate is heavenly!!!”
Hirit naman ni Albert Martinez : “I love old school way of hot Pandesal in the morning with kesong puti and good Batangas coffee.”
Ayon naman kay Quezon City Councilor and actor Alfred Vargas : “My favorite way of eating Pandesal is when it’s fresh and hot straight from the ‘pugon’, then I’ll put kesong puti as ‘palaman’ or Coco Jam when I’m craving for something sweet. I’ll have the local hot chocolate with it to complete the treat. That is the way we do it in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, my hometown.”
Ang kauna-unahang World Pandesal Day civic and cultural project ay inilunsad noong Oct.16, 2015 at Kamuning Bakery Café in Quezon City sa pangunguna ng may-ari nitong si Wilson Flores with special guests GMA Network, Inc. Chairman Atty. Felipe Gozon, Sen. Sonny Angara and National Youth Commission (NYC) Commissioner and actor Dingdong Dantes.
Kabilang naman sa top leaders who sent greetings to the annual World Pandesal Day include Vice-President Sara Duterte Carpio, Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian and Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Inaanyayahan ng annual #WorldPandesalDay celebration sa Oct. 16, 2023, Monday, 10 a.m. kung saan mamimigay sila ng 100,000 Pandesal breads, cheese, sardines, hams, juices and other foods Kamuning Bakery Cafe at Judge Jimenez Street corner K-1st Street, Barangay Kamuning, Quezon City.
