Voltes V: Legacy, may epic finale

Voltes V

Ngayong Sept. 8 na ang finale ng Voltes V: Legacy.

And as the series nears its ending, Kapuso Ultimate Heartthrob Miguel Tanfelix could not help but feel mixed emotions. “Lahat ng pinagdaanan namin sa loob ng 4 years, nag-flashback sakin nung sinabing it’s a wrap. Nag-start kami sa lock-in, may quarantine pa, ang daming ginastos para maitawid ang taping during the pandemic. And now, nag-end na ang isang malaking chapter ng buhay ko. Nakakalungkot, but excited ako na makita nila ang bigger picture ng pinaghirapan namin,” he said.

Ysabel Ortega, on the other hand, highlights how this live-action adaptation has brought Pinoy Pride all over the world. According to her, “Most of the time when there’s a project, iisipin ko na maganda at malaking step siya para sa career ko. Milestone siya for everyone.”

Moreover, Radson Flores reminisces the good times they shared during and after tapings. For example, sabay-sabay kaming kakain. Nase-sepanx talaga kaming lahat,” he mentioned.

And of course, ‘yung eksena na nakasakay ako sa dolphin.

Matt Lozano also reiterates that Voltes V: Legacy has overcome several struggles throughout the show. According to him, “Hindi ko naman akalain na mapapasama ako sa isang iconic anime na pinapanood ko lang noong bata ako. Sobrang proud ako to be part of this big project at lalong nakaka-proud kasi sobrang hirap ng pinagdaanan namin sa set, sa struggles ng kanya-kanyang characters. Proud kami kasi from day 1 up to the last taping day, lumaban kami.”

Furthermore, the show’s esteemed director Mark Reyes recalls the greatest achievement of their adaptation. “We’re happy with what we’ve accomplished. Nothing is perfect—we could have improved on a lot of things and added more things to the story, but we have limited time already. But for the bigger picture, it’s overwhelming that not only in the Philippines but also globally ang reactions. It’s very touching. That’s the biggest achievement. We said hello, world! GMA can do something like this and we’re proud of what we’ve done.”

We’ve poured so much into this project and we’re very proud of what we accomplished.”
