Enrique, inaming ‘di big bird

Gagampanan ni Enrique Gil ang karakter ni Luis Carpio para sa pelikulang I Am Not Big Bird. Sa Thailand pa nakatakdang kunan ang mga eksena para sa naturang comedy film. “First of all hindi ako si Big Bird. But at some point, ako rin magiging Big Bird. Basically, Big Bird is a famous porn star I Thailand. My character Luis Carpio travels to Thailand and doon siya pinagkamalan na si Big Bird kasi parang identical twins sila. That’s where the adventure begins,” nakangiting pagbabahagi ni Enrique.

Ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na magbibida ang aktor sa isang comedy film. Bilang paghahanda ay ginawa raw inspirasyon ni Enrique ang kanyang namayapang ama. “When they pitched this, sa title pa lang, ‘Oh my gosh, I need to do something like this.’ My dad was a comedian as well. He was always telling me growing up, ‘You know what Quen (palayaw ni Enrique), whatever happens, kahit nasa work ako. I try to make people happy and make them laugh. Laughter is really the best medicine.’ So sabi ko I need to do a comedy. Here it is,” pahayag ng binata.

Bukod sa pagiging aktor ay isa rin si Enrique sa magiging prodyuser ng pelikula.

Pag-aari ng aktor ang Anima Studios na isang production company. Balak ng binata na ilahok ang naturang pelikula sa iba’t ibang international film festival sa susunod na taon. “Few years ago sabi ko I’m tired. I want a quiet life. Sa three years, sabi ko, ‘I just can’t leave the industry na wala akong ginagawa or gagawin.’ Parang I wanna leave a legacy. So I created this production company and focus on creating project sana breakthrough internationally, streaming platforms. Just to put Philippines out there. Stories that we can tell very Filipino. For next year, I think may Rotterdam, L.A., Sundance that’s why I’m excited talaga. That’s why I’ve created a production company to put it out there,” pagtatapos ng aktor.

Fabio, maraming natutunan sa Iron Heart

Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay nakagawa ng proyekto si Fabio Ide sa ABS-CBN. Matatandaang iba’t ibang programa ng GMA napanood ang Brazilian-Japanese actor sa nakalipas na mahigit isang dekada. Ngayon ay kabilang si Fabio sa The Iron Heart na pinagbibidahan ni Richard Gutierrez. “First kasi itong show na ito, first show ko sa ABS-CBN. So that’s a big change for me. I’m very happy binigyan ako ng bagong opportunity dito sa ABS-CBN. I’m just very happy and very overwhelmed,” bungad ni Fabio.

Masayang-masaya ang aktor dahil ibang-iba ang tema ng kanyang ginagawa ngayon. Malayung-malayo raw ito sa kanyang mga naging proyekto noon. “This is my first series na super action talaga. So may baril, may fight scenes, may drama, as in lahat sabay-sabay na. Siyempre as an actor, kasi ‘yung mga shows ko dati either is drama or is comedy. Pero itong show na ito halu-halo na eh, sabay-sabay lahat. So it’s very challenging but it’s very exciting and overwhelming because we’ve been given the opportunity to work with one of the best actors in the Philippines,” giit niya.

Ayon kay Fabio ay maraming mga bagay rin ang kanyang natutunan mula sa mga kasamahan pagdating sa trabaho. “Everyday I learn more about my character, about the people I’m working with, about the show. And the fact that we have three directors is just so amazing. Kasi with one director you do a lot of action scenes. We do a lot of fighting and we play with guns and stuff. Tapos ‘pag isang director naman ‘yung drama and kailangan maging intense talaga sa mga eksena. Tapos sa iba may konting comedy. It’s just amazing how the whole show goes and how you kind of have to switch from one feeling to another in the same day. So that has been such an amazing experience for me and I’m just learning so much from the directors and my co-actors. So it’s been an amazing experience. I’m just really excited to be a part of the show,” paglalahad ng aktor.
