Carla, naghahanap ng mga testigo sa guard na pumatay ng aso!

Maraming naiyak sa ginawa ng isang guard na itinapon ang puppy na alaga ng isang street kid matapos itong hindi umalis sa foot bridge kung saan binawalan daw magtambay ang bata.

Namatay ang puppy pagkatapos ihulog ng guard.

Mataas ang foot bridge. At hindi katulad ng pusa ang aso. Ang pusa, mga paa ang gamit nila pagbagsak kaya kahit anong tapon mo sa mga muning, sinasadya o hindi, buhay pa sila.

Ang aso ay parang tao na hindi mo alam kung paano babagsak.

Kaya naman talagang nagwala ang netizens sa naging kapalaran ng puppy sa kamay ng guard.

Kinondena nila ito na bago raw ang nasabing insidente ay nakitang nagtatalo pa ang batang may alagang puppy at ang guard na nagtatrabaho sa mall.

Dismissed na ang nasabing guard at hindi na ito ulit makakapagtrabaho sa kahit anong branch ng nasabing mall chain ayon sa statement ng mall.

Kilalang pet friendly ang nasabing mall.

Pero bukod sa dismissal sa trabaho, nag-post si Carla Abella na kakasuhan ng PAWS (Philippine Animal Welfare Society) ang nasabing security guard.

Mahaba ang post ng actress tungkol dito kung saan nga niya inilahad ang pangyayari base sa mga nakarating sa kanilang kuwento sa social media.

“Yesterday, a netizen posted about having witnessed a security guard throw a helpless puppy off a pedestrian bridge.

“PAWS condemns in the strongest possible terms this act of cruelty. We are demanding an immediate investigation of this case and we have gotten in touch with witnesses so that we can file a case.

“When PAWS lobbied for the Animal Welfare Act, it had to repeatedly clarify that the law does not protect only animals that are owned nor does the law seek to punish only large-scale cruelty done to companion animals such as the dog meat trade.

“Historically, PAWS has filed cases against those who have hurt animals that had no owners or guardians as long as there were witnesses to the cruel act who were willing to file an affidavit.

“In the reported incident, the security guard allegedly had a heated altercation with street children who had the puppy with them. According to witnesses, the guard, in order to show that he meant business (he was telling the children repea­tedly to leave the footbridge), he threw the puppy over the bridge. The puppy died from the fall.

“The guard’s behavior and the act of killing the puppy is certainly what the Animal Welfare Act seeks to punish.

“PAWS is committed to file a case and hold accountable the person responsible for this horrific cruelty.

“We have received over 190 emails from concerned citizens about this. We are as outraged as you are and we are taking steps in filing this case with the help of a witness. We appeal to the public to refrain from flooding our email with forwarded posts on social media. Our inbox must be freed up to receive draft affidavits from witnesses and those who will help us file the case in Court.

Pero sana rin makausap nila muna ang security guard na nagtapon ng aso. Baka mas kailangan nito ng pangaral o tulong tungkol sa kanyang ginawa kesa kasuhan at dalhin pa sa korte ang mga pangyayari.
