Piolo, first time mananakot!

Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay gagawa si Piolo Pascual ng isang horror film. Sa loob ng 25 taong aktibo ang aktor sa show business ay hindi kailan man naranasang gumawa ng mga nakakatakot ang tema.

Magbibida si Piolo sa Mallari na hango sa buhay ni Fr. Juan Severino Mallari, na sinasabing ang kauna-unahang pari na naitalang serial killer sa Pilipinas. “This is going to be really hard for me. Physically exhausting, emotionally draining. I’m portraying three roles but I’m up for the challenge and I’m happy to be given this privilege to be acting for this film. It’s quite interesting story,” paglalahad ni Piolo.

Posibleng makalahok ang naturang proyekto sa Metro Manila Film Festival sa darating na Kapaskuhan. Ngayon pa lamang ay talagang pinaghahandaan na ni Piolo ang kanyang bagong karakter na gagam­panan. “Seeing Mallari, reading the script and finding out the truthfulness of the person and character that I’m going to portray, I know the film is based on a true story and I Googled Mallari. I don’t know what to expect.

“Preparing for the role of Mallari is not an easy task. We are doing three different timelines (1851, 1950 at 2023) and three different periods. So, I’m just excited for the production. With Mallari, we are not trying to celebrate the serial killer. We are trying to celebrate the cinema. At least I can say I have done something different. A horror film, my first one. I hope that I can live up to the expectations of the viewers,” giit niya.

Samantala, hindi raw kailan man nakakita o nakaranas ng multo si Piolo. Umaasa ang aktor na magiging maayos ang lahat kapag nagsimula na ang shooting ng pelikula. “I’m a very religious person myself, but I love watching horror films and supernatural. Based on Mallari’s story, I can’t wait till we start shooting. I hope I don’t get possessed. I hope Mallari will not threaten me and there will be no supernatural that will happen while we shoot,” pagtatapos ng aktor.

Chie, kabado kina Kathryn at Dolly

Nagpapasalamat si Chie Filomeno dahil napabilang sa pelikulang A Very Good Girl na pagbibidahan nina Kathryn Bernardo at Dolly de Leon. Malaking karangalan umano para sa dalaga na makatrabo ang dalawang magagaling na aktres. “Gasgas na ‘yung word na grateful but I am grateful and honored to be part of this. Remembering back then, no’ng presscon ni Kath, kinongratulate ko siya. Kasi deserve niya lahat ng milestones, lahat nang nakukuha niya ngayon. Kasi she worked hard for it and I’ve seen that. And to be part of this, another obra. Kinakabahan ako pero alam ko na marami akong mapupulot sa kanila especially kay Ms. Dolly also,” nakangiting pahayag ni Chie.

Sobrang excited na ang aktres na muling makatrabaho si Kathryn sa bagong proyekto. Ramdam umano ni Chie na papatok sa takilya ang naturang pelikula. “It’s nice to be working again with Kathryn. I know this is going to be a blockbuster hit for her and everyone. Especially sa mga nagtatrabaho behind the camera,” dagdag pa ng dalaga. (Reports from JCC)
