RUS, Simple Blends to clash in East finals
CEBU, Philippines — Team RUS and Simple Blends knocked out their respective foes to set up an East finals showdown in Hoop Nation-Arlon Cup Season 2 at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
RUS booted out Sinai Mountain Resort, 85-78, while Simple Blends eliminated Dracones, 74-68.
Floyd Taboada paced RUS with 16 points, eight rebounds and one block while Albert Ardiente, the season MVP, showed the way for Simple Blends with 24 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
In the West, the eighth-seeded Imperium Event stunned the top-ranked Joher Transport Logistics, 47-42, to march into the semifinals.
James Villafuerte led Imperium with 16 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Imperium will face next the Prayboys, with the winner taking on Team CK in the West finals. — EBV
