Binunyag ni Tito Sotto, Vic nagbabayad daw ng tax kahit walang suweldo...eat bulaga, P60 million ang utang kina Vic at Joey!
Walang binanggit na pangalan si former Senate president Tito Sotto sa kanyang interview kay Nelson Canlas ng GMA pero animo’y sinagot niya ang mga pahayag ni Television and Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE Inc.) Chief Finance Officer Bullet Jalosjos tungkol sa mga kontrobersya sa long running noontime show na Eat Bulaga!
Maaalalang inamin ni Dapitan City Mayor Jalosjos na magkakaroon ng malaking pagbabago ang programa sa Fast Talk ni Kuya Boy Abunda last week.
Ngunit aniya hindi pa kasama rito ang pagpapalit sa mga host na pinamumunuan nina Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, at Joey de Leon.
“I was given the green light by the board to talk openly kasi I think we have the responsibility sa taong bayan as well. Ang daming speculations and I don’t think it will ever stop unless someone addresses this concern. So now we just want to assure the public and everyone else that we’re coming up with a more improved Eat Bulaga! Think bigger prizes, more exciting segments.”
Sinabi rin doon ni Mayor Bullet ang kanilang relasyon sa GMA, at kinumpirmang mayroon pa silang dalawang taong kontrata sa network.
Nanindigan din siya na matatag ang pananalapi o financially stable ang kumpanya taliwas sa mga tsismis. “The company is okay. We’re doing good. We can pay our talents. We can pay GMA. So wala po talagang problema when it comes to money.”
May pabirong sagot din siya tungkol sa pag-welcome sa mga bagong host sa show.
At magkakaroon daw ng improvements in terms of content. “The only thing constant in the world is change. With the change, as with life and everything in it, there’s always some sort of transformation - we have to accept that. We also need to understand that we have to adapt. We always have to adapt. And people who don’t adapt, who don’t understand, sometimes sila yung naiiwan e.
“I really think the fear, it’s all about fear of change. Pagbabago. Almost 43 years, it’s so hard to see something different after 40 years being relevant,” bahagi pa ng pahayag ni Mayor Jalosjos na isa ring movie producer.
Resbak ni Sen. Tito matagal na rin nilang gustong maglabas ng mga nangyayari sa programa pero may usapan na walang magsasalita nito sa media.
Banggit ng dating pulitiko “kami, pigil na pigil kami. Ang tagal na naming gustong ilabas lahat ‘yan pero pinipigil namin, pagkatapos biglang babanatan n’yo kami ng ganyan.
“Bibitawan kami ng salitang ire-retain kami? Huh? Para namang napakakawawa namin, hindi ba? I think it’s improper. That kind of statement is improper,” pahayag pa ni Tito Sen sa naunang interview.
Nagulat din diumano sila sa ‘false statements’ and ‘inaccurate’ na binitiwan ng isang miyembro ng TAPE Inc.
“We’re having this conversation because all of a sudden, one member of the corporation, an officer of the corporation, was interviewed and was not accurate.
“As a matter of fact, there were false statements that were made. So we would rather, and with the consent of Vic and Joey, that we would rather explain and elaborate or perhaps give light to what is true on some of these statements that were made. Iyon ang dahilan,” aniya pa na walang binabanggit na pangalan.
Pero nabanggit ni Mr. Jalosjos sa Fast Talk na wala silang problema pagdating sa pera.
Buwelta ni Sen. Sotto: “Ang sabi sa amin, nalulugi raw. Kailangan daw baguhin ang nagpapatakbo at kailangan daw i-reinvent ang Eat Bulaga. At meron daw mga portion na bored sila. I have the videos and statements to prove that...” rebelasyon ni Sen. Tito.
Kinumpirma rin nito ang kumalat na kuwento na malaki ang utang ng TAPE Inc. kina Vic at Joey. “Ang laki ng utang kay Vic at kay Joey. Mahigit tig-P30 million ang utang sa kanila, for 2022 alone.”
Dagdag pa nito “Ang nirereklamo ni Vic sa amin is tinatanggalan siya ng VAT pero hindi niya natatanggap ‘yung supposed na sahod.”
Binunyag din nito na may naglahong P400 million kaya hindi pwedeng sabihing nalulugi ang programa. “Hindi puwede. Remember election year ‘yun. Campaign period ‘yun at ang campaign ads ay napakarami. So nakakapagtaka. So sana sagutin ng TAPE kung ano talaga ang nangyari. Meron talagang P400 million na political ads that vanished. I said vanished because I didn’t know where it went.”
Binanggit din ni Sen. Sotto sa interview naman ni MJ Marfori na walang karapatan ang TAPE sa Eat Bulaga.
Aniya, mali ang pahayag na “Ang TAPE producer. Hindi sila ‘Eat Bulaga.’ Ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ iba. Bakit kamo. Why am I saying this? In 1979, we started Eat Bulaga.’Joey invented the name. Vic and I agreed. Tony Tuviera agreed. ‘Yun ang ginawa namin na it was produced by Production Specialist Incorporated. Pagkatapos ng ilang buwan, naubos and puhunan ng Production Specialist Incorporated. Ang TAPE pumasok lang noon 1981. Two years after at tumatakbo na ang Eat Bulaga. Mali ‘yung mga kinuwento kila Boy Abunda at Cristy (Fermin).”
Sa kasalukuyan, dalawa lang diumano ang maaaring patunguhan ng noontime show :
“One is leave it as it is. Ika nga, as I’ve said earlier, let sleeping dogs lie. It’s doing well. Leave it alone. Ganu’n ‘yun, eh. That’s one road to take.
“The other road is hindi na tayo puwedeng magsama pagka ganu’n.”
