Jay-R, may hangover pa sa performance sa NBA

MANILA, Philippines — Natupad ang isang matagal ng dream ng R&B singer na si Jay-R na mag-perform ito sa isang NBA game.

Noong nakaraang March 31, inawit ni Jay-R ang US American anthem na Star Spangled Banner sa Crypto Arena bago nagsimula ang laban ng Los Angeles Clippers at Utah Jazz. Part ito ng Filipino Heritage Night.

“I can’t believe I sang the National Anthem at Crypto Arena at the Clippers game last night. I must say another dream came true for me. Twas an honor to represent the Philippines for Filipino Heritage Night for the NBA. I hope I made all the Filipinos in the house proud,” post ni Jay-R sa Instagram.

Dagdag pa niya: “As a kid I’ve always dreamed of it and in this video I’m finally there. What a dream come true. But the dream doesn’t stop there. Let’s keep it going.”

Noong March din ay nag-celebrate ng second wedding anniversary si Jay-R at ang misis niyang si Mica Javier. Kinasal sila noong March 2020 sa Boracay at sa US na sila naka-base ngayon,

Ariel, nakabangon na pagkatapos ng LOL

Pagkatapos ng kontrobersyal na resignation ni Ariel Rivera sa noontime show na LOL : Laugh Out Loud sa TV5, mapapanood naman siya ngayon sa GMA-7 sa upcoming teleserye na The Fake Life.

Makakasama rito ni Ariel sina Beauty Gonzalez, Sid Lucero, Techie Agbayani, Will Ashley, Rina Reyes, Saviour Ramos, Bryan Benedict, Jenny Miller, Shanelle Agustin, Carlos Dala and Faye Lorenzo.

Kasama rin sina Kristoffer Martin and Bea Binene bilang young Ariel at Beauty. Si Adolf Alix, Jr. ang director ng teleserye.
Huling napanood si Ariel sa Kapuso network ay noong 2017 pa sa mga teleserye na Mulawin Vs. Ravena at Hahamakin Ang Lahat.

NYU bibigyan ng honorary doctorate si Taylor Swift

Gagawaran ng New York University ang 11-time Grammy Award winner na si Taylor Swift ng honorary doctorate of fine arts sa May 18. Magiging speaker din si Taylor sa magaganap na commencement sa Yankee Stadium.

Ayon sa NYU administrator: “Taylor Swift will deliver her address and receive her honors from NYU along with the class of 2022 at the stadium on the morning of May 18.Three graduating classes will be honored that day. Taylor will be part of what is described as a traditional ceremony for the current graduating class on the morning of May 18. Separately, in the evening, the university will also be holding a double-header commencement for the classes of 2020 and 2021, who weren’t able to have a traditional ceremony earlier due to the pandemic.”

Ang official title na igagawad kay Swift ay Doctor of Fine Arts, honoris causa.
Nagkaroon ng class tungkol sa pagiging isang music artist ni Swift sa NYU na nagsimula noong nakaraang taon.
