Kampo ni Kakai, sumagot sa cease and desist ni Mario Maurer

Noong Martes pa nakarating sa amin ang sagot ng legal counsel ni Kakai Bautista at ng manager nitong si Freddie Bautista. Ito ‘yung isyu nina Kakai at ng Thai actor na si Mario Maurer na hindi na nagustuhan ng kampo ng huli.

Natanggap na nga nina Kakai ang Cease and Desist demand letter mula sa legal counsel ng Kwaonhar Nine Nine Co., Ltd. na siyang ang nagma-manage kay Mario Maurer.

Technical ang sagot ng kampo ni Kakai dahil ang isa sa glaring na napansin nila ay ‘Authorized Attorney’ ang nakalagay na nagri-represent sa Kwaonhar at kay Mario.

Sa demand letter na nakarating sa kanila ay wala man lang daw letterhead, mailing address at contact number ng sinasabing ‘autho­rized attorney’.

Sabi sa naturang official statement ng legal counsel nina Kakai at Freddie; “More importantly, we note that such ‘Authorized Attorney’ may have committed ‘unauthorized practice of law’ in our country, which is a form of ‘indirect contempt of court’ punishable by fine or imprisonment or both be noted that only Filipino lawyers are allowed to practice law in our country pursuant to the 1987 Constitution and Rules of Court. By alleging that our Client possibly violated Philippine laws, sending a Cease and Demand Letter to this effect, and even causing the publication of the same to the media, such ‘Authorized Attorney’ from Thailand has already practiced law in our country—that is, without any authority. This is utterly deplorable and a flagrant contempt of the legal system of our country.”

Kinumpirma naman nila sa statement na iyon na nagpadala na sila ng nine-page reply at humihingi sila ng ‘proof of authority’ ng sinasabing ‘Authorized Attorney’ dahil ang Cease and Demand letter daw na iyon na nakarating sa media ay naging isyu at naapektuhan ang kredibilidad at imahe ni Kakai, bilang isang kilalang celebrity ng bansa.

Ipinapalabas daw kasi sa sulat na iyon na nagsisinungaling si Kakai at ginamit ang kasikatan ng nabanggit na Thai actor. “We firmly and vehemently repudiate and detest in the strongest possible terms the claims of the “Authorized Attorney” of Mr. Maurer’s agency against our Client. They are palpably without any factual and legal bases. Further, his claim that our Client “improperly exploited” and made “false statements” about Mr. Mario Maurer and his team already reek of libel, a crime punishable under Art. 353 of the Revised Penal Code of the Philippines.”

Sabi pa sa naturang statement; “The truth of the matter is that any and all factual allegations of our Client as to her experience, connection, and communication with Mr. Maurer and the latter’s team are only based on truthful occurrences as substantiated by evidence and done without any malice or bad faith on her part — that is, a simple and truthful recollection of her personal experience in working with an international public figure such as Mr. Mario Maurer, whom she has so cherished and has held with high regard and respect.”

Ipinupunto rin sa naturang statement na puwedeng magkuwento si Kakai ng magagandang karanasan niya nang nakatrabaho si Mario, bilang isa itong sikat na international star.  Wala naman daw silang napagkasunduang non-disclosure sa mga napag-usapan at naikuwento ni Kakai sa press. “Accordingly, for as long as the statements of our Client are based on truth and that she has not signed any non-disclosure agreement with Mr. Maurer and/or his agency, Ms. Bautista is very much free under our legal system to publicly talk about her experiences with Mr. Maurer, who is an international public figure. Nonetheless, our Client has decided to totally dissociate herself from Mr. Maurer through all means and channels possible. In this regard, we have demanded from the alleged Attorney of Mr. Maurer’s agency to prove his identity and authority to send the Cease and Demand Letter on behalf of Mr. Maurer and the latter’s agency.”

As of presstime ay hinihintay ko pa ang sagot ng kampo ni Mario Maurer kaugnay sa inilabas na statement ng kampo ni Kakai Bautista.

Serye ni Alden, stop taping uli

Dapat ay naka-schedule na palang magsisimula ang taping ng bagong drama series ni Alden Richards pagkatapos ng Holy week. Pero hindi na muna matutuloy dahil naglabas ng directive ang GMA 7 na stop taping muna ngayong buwan ng Abril dahil sa upsurge ng COVID-19.

Kahit nga ang taping sa studio ay hindi na rin daw muna itutuloy. Kaya asahan na ang replay episodes sa ilang mga programang napapanood natin sa TV.

Natapos na nga ang Magkaagaw noong Miyerkules at papalitan ito ng isang K-drama na Penthouse. Pero naalala naming magsisimula na rin sa GTV ang Heartful Café nina Julie Anne San Jose at David Licauco ngayong linggo. Sana ito na lang muna ang ipalit sa Magkaagaw dahil maganda raw ang feedback sa bagong drama series na ito.

Pero kailangan nga raw palakasin pa rin talaga ang GTV kaya malaking tulong nga itong Heartful Café.

Samantala, wala pa kaming nakuhang impormasyon kung kailan na iri-resume ang drama series ni Alden. Ang latest lang na nabalitaan namin ay si Jasmine Curtis ang makaka-partner niya rito.

Dapat ay magsisimula na rin ang drama series ni Derek Ramsay kasama sina Carla Abellana at Max Collins, pero isa ito sa matitigil muna.

Itinatanggi ng production team nitong project ang isa pang kumakalat na tsismis na pinapa-revise pa raw ito. Tuloy na tuloy daw ito at wala naman silang problema sa mga star na magiging bahagi ng naturang project.
