MANILA, Philippines — Where do child stars go, once, ika nga, they have outgrown themselves and are no longer fit to do child roles.
Well, If they are lucky, they can be another Vilma Santos-Recto, who is now Lipa City Representative.
Well, if Ate Vi proves lucky, puwedeng siya ang unang child star na naging senador, that is, of course, if she runs for the said position in the 2022 elections.
As it is now, she has a husband na isang senador, si Sen. Ralph Recto.
Before naging Lipa City Representative, governor muna ng Batangas si Ate Vi. She was nine when she was given the lead role of Trudis Liit in a Sampaguita Pictures production.
She later confessed she was not eyeing the top role, when she joined the screening of talents. She would have been satisfied na mapasama lang sa movie, and that would be that.
But as luck would have it, Trudis Liit proved a money maker, and henceforth, Ate Vi’s star kept shining. Until she became teenager and an adult.
Surprisingly too, her failed marriage to former husband Edu Manzano, father of Luis Manzano, did not affect her popularity.
To date, Vilmanians remain intact.
They hardly can’t wait to see her either on the big or small screen, yes, even at her age now, 66. To them, she remains their only Star for All Seasons.
But as Ate Vi said: “Now that I’m a politician, I owe it to my constituents to serve them.”
Ate Vi was last seen in the Star Cinema 2016 movie, Everything About Her na pinagbidahan nina Angel Locsin at Xian Lim, and directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
Ice hindi inakalang magiging lesbian
No one obviously thought among her fans and followers that their favorite childstar would end up a lesbian. Not even her mom, fondly addressed as Mama Caring.
We are referring to Aiza Seguerra na ngayon ay mas kilala na bilang Ice Seguerra.
Ice was a cute girl when she started co-hosting Eat Bulaga with Vic Sotto, Sen. Tito Sotto and Joey de Leon. She was four years old when she emerged fourth runner up in the 1987 Little Miss Philippines.
Then her talent as a singer came to fore, and a successful singer she became, from then on.
But after a while, Ice just disappeared from the entertainment scene. And when she came back, that was when a lot of changes ay napansin sa kanya.
Now 36 years old, open si Ice sa pagiging transgender.
She is now married to former beauty queen and now Film Development Council of the Philippines Chairperson Liza Diño.
Ice also offered different important position in the government pero bumitiw siya as National Youth Commission chief. Her obvious decision, though, is to remain a private citizen and partner to Liza.
Their utmost wish ay ang magkaroon ng anak, although, Chair Liza, formerly married, already has a daughter.
Roderick ayaw aminin ang networth
Asked how much his networth ngayon, Roderick Paulate, who started as a child actor, merely demurred.
Mga seven years old daw siya when he started his career in showbiz. Nakasabayan niya sina Gina Alajar na active pa rin ngayon sa pagdidirek sa TV at pelikula.
When he joined politics, active pa rin siya sa showbiz.
