‘Mahirap mawalan ng ina’

Dahil sa gloomy weather noong Martes, naka­ramdam ako ng lungkot Salve dahil naalala ko how sad it will be for Boy Abunda this Christmas na iniwan siya ng kanyang Nanay Lesing. The pain and sadness Boy Abunda will feel na Nanay Lesing won’t be around anymore.

The time when my mother died, noon ko lang natanggap na totoo pala na may mga namamatay. My mother’s death was the first in the family.

Kapag nagpupunta ako noon sa mga lamay, hindi pumapasok sa utak o puso ko ang feeling ng mga namatayan,’yung sasabihin mo na condolence, my deepest sympathy, kaya mo ‘yan at okey lang dahil nasa mabuti na siya na lugar and yet wala itong impact sa’yo, until ikaw ang mawalan at nanay mo pa.

Nang namatay ang mother ko, saka ko lang nadama ang tunay na suntok sa dibdib, ang feeling na something is pressing my heart, ang pain na parang walang laman ang utak ko. How can she die, she’s not supposed to die, she has to take care of me, who will take care of me now?

And you feel cheated bakit ‘yung iba, 90-years old na ang kanilang mga ina nang mawala like Boy and Cristy Fermin’s mothers, bakit ako 62-years old lang kinuha na ang nanay ko?

A lost of a mother is something you never forget, something you will never forget. You look up to them as a superwoman, someone who will live forever, a person who will always be by your side.

We are lucky dahil kahit papaano, nakita nila kung saan tayo nakarating. We are ever grateful to God for giving us mothers who are and will always be our most precious gem.

Bambbi hindi selfish,totoong precious gem na kaibigan

Bambbi

For so many years, ang salon ni Bambbi Fuentes ang tambayan ko kapag lumalabas ako ng bahay.

I feel so safe and at home in that place. Sina Leony Diaz, Bhoy Navarette, Angel de Guia, Wendy, Ernal Forte at Yoly ang mga dating make up artist ko hanggang lumipat ako kay Bambbi.

Hindi ako maselan dahil ang feeling ko, maganda na ako kapag naayos na ang buhok ko at nalagyan na ako ng powder at kilay.

In all those years, nalaman ko na why women tend to be very close with their make up artist. Sila ang comfort person ng mga kababaihan, parang shield, crutch at wall to lean on.

You feel beautiful with them, you feel secured but Bambbi is not just a make up artist. He is a friend, brother/sister, son/daughter, a complete package of a person.

Madali siya na kausap kaya we see budding stars starting to be beautiful sa salon niya, then kapag may pangalan na transferring to another salon na.

Bambbi is not selfish, nagawa niya na pasikatin sina Jonathan at Francis. Happy siya in seeing them grow in their own beauty business.

I feel at home sa place niya at dito ko nakita that it is more important to have loyal assistant in the shop, reliable people, kesa talented ones pero in a hurry to find another home to grow.

Top of the line make up artist na si Bambbi but I never saw him having that eklay artist temper, except when he wants to feel madre superyora na minsan-minsan, binu-bully niya si Kris at Aneesa.

I’m so lucky to be a close friend of Bambbi. Ang sabi nga ng iba na ine-eklay ako, I look good dahil alaga ako ni Bambbi. True.
