Pormal na ang kasunduan ng GMA Network at Miss Earth para sa darating na Miss Earth 2018. GMA ang magiging official broadcast partner ng pinakamalaking beauty pageant para sa environmental awareness ngayong taon.
Ito ay matapos na opisyal na pumirma ng kontrata ang dalawang panig nitong Oktubre 8 sa GMA Network Center.
Dumalo sa contract signing sina GMA First Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari Abacan, GMA Program Management Assistant Vice President Mitzi Garcia, Carousel Productions Executive Vice President Lorraine Schuck at Vice President Peachy Veneracion. Kasama rin nila ang Miss Earth 2018 candidates na sina Miss Earth Canada Jaime Vandenber; Miss Earth Chile Antonia Figueroa; Miss Earth England Abbey-Anne Gyles-Brown; Miss Earth Hungary Réka Lukács; Miss Earth Mauritius Kirty Sujeewon; at Miss Earth Philippines Silvia Celeste Cortes.
“Natutuwa ako kasi it’s another addition to the pageants that we are actually airing here in GMA. The only thing I could tell my new partners is that you are welcome here in GMA and hopefully, this is going to be a very big and very strong partnership,” wika ni Mr. Abacan.
Aabot sa 90 candidates ang maglalaban-laban sa Miss Earth crown na gaganapin ang coronation night dito sa Pilipinas sa Nobyembre 3, at mapapanood ang telecast nito sa GMA sa Nobyembre 4.
