Nora Aunor at Eula Valdez best actress ng Cinemalaya 2014

MANILA, Philippines – Naiuwi ng mga batikang aktres ang pinakamataas na parangal sa 10th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival na ginawa sa Cultural Center of the Philippines  sa Pasay City kagabi.

Nasungkit ni Nora ang Best Actress award sa Directors Showcase category para sa kanyang pagganap sa obra ni Joel Lamangan na “Hustisya.”

Nakuha rin ng Hustisya ang Directors Showcase NETPAC award at Audience's Choice award.

“Kung hindi po dahil sa kanila, wala po ako dito sa harapan ninyo ngayon,” mensahe ng superstar sa kanyang mga taga hanga.

“Asahan ninyo na habang andyan kayo na sumusuporta pa rin po, patuloy akong gagawa ng pelikulang makabuluhan, lalo na sa mga kabataan ngayon. Sana po'y magsilbing inspirasyon sa kanila lahat ng mga ginagawa kong pelikula.”

Samantala, best actress din si Eula sa New Breed category para sa pelikulang “Dagitab” na kinubra rin ang Best screenplay award at Best Director ara kay Giancarlo Abrahan.

“Dinasal ko po kasi ito e,” kuwento ni Eula. “Nagdasal po ako. Sabi ko, 'Lord, bigyan mo naman ako ng chance na gumawa ng isang magandang pelikula, isang matalinong pelikula.' At pinadala naman, naka-DHL.”

Tinanggap naman ng GMA7 young artitsts na sina Barbie Forteza at Migs Cuaderno ang best supporting actress at actror sa New Breed category.

Sa Directors Showcase category, si Nicco Manalo, anak ng komedyanteng si Jose Manalo, ng “The Janitor” ang Best Supporting Actor.

Wagi rin si Michael Tuviera ng “The Janitor” ng Best Director award sa Directors Showcase, habang ang “Kasal” ang nakakuha ng Directors Showcase Best Film award.
