KC 12 years nang hindi tumitikim ng karne!

MANILA, Philippines - Bongga ang Kapamilya star na si KC Concepcion dahil muli siyang nakasama sa listahan ng “sexiest” lists of men’s magazines at sa New York-based lifestyle website.

Last June, si KC ay nag-rank bilang 23rd in a list of Sexiest International Actresses You Haven’t Heard Of by Complex, which recognized her not only for her looks and showbiz achievements but also for being the United Nations’ National Ambassador Against Hunger.

Siya ang natatanging Filipina na nakasama sa listahan.

Ang kanyang charm ay umabot din hanggang ban­sang Mexico dahil naging cover siya roon ng M­exican edition of women’s magazine Cosmopolitan.

And just recently, inilunsad din siya bilang newest calendar girl ng Pinoy liquor brand na Tanduay.

Pero paano nga ba napapanatili ni KC ang ma­gandang pangangatawan? Sa interview sa kanya ni Ricky Lo ng The Philippine Star, sinabi niyang hindi siya kumakain ng karne for the past 12 years, bagkus, gulay at seafood lamang ang kanyang kinakain.

Kuwento pa ng singer-actress, ang kanyang usual breakfast ay hakaw or Chinese dumplings stuffed with shrimp.

“I like my homemade hakaw breakfast which I get from our generous Chinese family friend. I eat that with lots of chili, some low-sodium soy sauce, and calamansi. Lunch is usually fish and veggies, or a sandwich. Mahilig ako sa grilled tuna panga with atsara or adobong pusit with red rice,” pagsi-share ni KC.

At para raw sa kanyang dinner, ito ang gusto niya: “A big salad with protein like maybe smoked sal­mon or tuna, or cheese like parmesan or blue cheese or goat cheese ’tapos masarap na dressing na bagay sa salad.

“Madali na lang hanapin ’yung ingredients these days. And I always, always have to have coffee, brewed or French pressed, after eating.”

Umiinom din siya palagi ng detox teas and water for their health benefits.

“For working skeds, I take red rice for energy, but I also try to cut down on rice and only eat carbs when I need to be standing and hosting for long hours, for example on X Factor, or when I do song-and-dance performances, for example on ASAP 2012,” sabi pa ng dalaga ni Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

Samantala, imbes na dumaan sa liposuction procedure para pumayat, regular na lamang siyang nagsu-Zumba and Forma sessions at Plana Forma. Ang exercises na ito ay mula sa yoga, Pilates, dances, and the internationally acclaimed Physique 57 fitness system.

“My Physique 57 workout that I do when I am in LA and NYC is now here but in the form of my fifty five-minute strengthening and lengthening workout Plana Forma. They have studios in the Jecoprime Building at the Fort BGC (Bonifacio Global City), and also at Centris Walk in QC (Quezon City). So, it’s perfect for me when I’m home (Fort) or when I have a break from work which is usually in QC,” kuwento pa ni KC.

Aside from diet and workouts, importante rin daw ang importance of getting enough sleep, taking vitamins, and having fun with friends as ways to maintain a healthy body.

“I admit I still sleep late because I am most productive at night. I go online at night, and get to think freely when everyone else is asleep. But in Manila, when I’m working, I adjust based on my call time for the day after, and I try to get at least five hours of sleep when I have work the next day,” sabi pa ni KC.
