Nabasa ko na ang statement ng Cosmopolitan Magazine people tungkol sa isyu na may directive ang publisher ng Summit Media na huwag imbitahan ang tabloid reporters sa presscon ng Cosmo Bash noong Martes. In the spirit of fairness, heto ang bahagi ng paliwanag ng pamunuan ng Cosmopolitan Magazine staff at Summit Media:

“In behalf of Summit Media, we would like to apologize for the miscommunication between our media relations team and some reporters regarding invites to the Cosmo Bachelor Bash Press Conference and Event.

“We would like to stress that Summit Media values the support and contribution of all our friends in the media including the tabloid press. It was never our intention to discriminate against anyone. Given the challenge of not overshooting the limited seating capacity of the venue, the company was only concerned about the safety of the attendees of the show.

“The media relations team wanted to ascertain that they would be able to accommodate everyone while looking after the safety of all the attendees. Thus, they did not want to release any invites before verifying the final list of publications and confirming with their editors their official designated representatives for the event. Please rest assured that all accredited media will be welcome to cover the event.?”

Maunawain ang tabloid press kaya tinanggap nila ang paumanhin ng Cosmopolitan Magazine staff at Summit Media, kahit may mali sa statement dahil nag-ugat ang isyu sa press conference na nangyari noong Martes, hindi ang Cosmo Bash event na magaganap sa susunod na Linggo.

Anyway, may dapat ipagpasalamat si Marcie Linao ng Summit Media kay Jo-ann Maglipon, ang editor-in-chief ng YES Magazine at PEP.

Si Mama Jo-ann ang unang gumawa ng paraan na maayos ang problema. Siya ang nagpaliwanag sa mga na-offend na reporter na miscommunication lamang ang nangyari at si Mama Jo-ann din ang unang naglabas ng apology sa pep.ph, kahit wala siyang alam sa ginawa ni Marcie.

 Walang kamalay-malay sa nangyari si Lisa Gokongwei, ang big boss ng Summit Media. Iba’t iba ang publisher ng mga magazine ng Summit Media pero hindi tama na sisihin si Mama Lisa o ang ibang bossing ng publication. Sure ako na walang alam si Mama Lisa sa mga nangyari dahil kaibigan siya ng entertainment press at pantay-pantay ang tingin niya sa lahat.

Malalaman ngayong hapon, Biyernes, ang winner ng Miss Silka Metro Manila 2012 sa grand pageant na idaraos sa Sta. Lucia East Mall sa Cainta, Rizal.

Walang artista na kasali sa Miss Silka Metro Manila 2012 dahil beauty search ito ng Silka Papaya Soap pero bukal sa puso ng tabloid press na i-cover ang event bilang pagmamahal nila kay Wheyee Lozada, ang producer ng show.

Tinawagan pa ako ni Wheyee sa cell phone para magpasalamat sa suporta ko sa Miss Silka Metro Manila, kahit hindi ako nakarating sa press presentation dahil may conflict ito sa oras ng meeting na pinuntahan ko.

Puwedeng mga artista ang mga kandidata na hindi puwedeng isnabin dahil nag-aaral sa exclusive schools ang iba sa kanila.

Ang mananalo ng Miss Silka Metro Manila title ang magiging pambato ng Metro Manila sa nationwide search ng beauty search ng Silka Papaya. Si Wheyee rin ang organizer ng search for Miss Silka Laguna, Cavite, at Batangas.
