CEBU, Philippines - Nagpadayun ang usa ka buwan nga kasaulogan sa nag-unang lifestyle show sa Central Visayas ang MagTV Na sa ABS-CBN, diin labing daku nila nga pahugyaw mao ang “house makeover” sa bulahang viewer.
Nagsugod upat na ka tuig ang milabay, ang MagTV unang gilangkuban og upat ka hosts, sila si Erwin Lim, Charlene Go, ug Blinky de Leon. Nawala sa eksena si Charlene ug misulod si Inday Tikay. Mihunong si Inday Tikay gumikan sa uban pa niyang kabilinggan ug nasulod sa maong pamilya sila si McBilly Sy ug Phoebe Fernandez.
Duha ka tuig na ang milabay dihang nanamilit si McBilly sa maong programa hinungdan nga nagpahigayun Search for the Next Ka Mags ang nahisgutang show. Migawas nga mananaug niini sila si Borgie Cabigas ug Dan Harry Genson. Sa milabay nga tuig, nanamilit si Dan Harry, hinungdan nga misulod sa eksena si Jonathan Cimafranca. Ug niining bag-o lang mibiya pud sa show si Blinky.
Nagsugod sa tulo ka hosts, napun-an ug naibanan. Ug sa paglabay sa upat ka tuig, nahibalik sila sa upat lang ka hosts. Busa angayan lang nga atong tagsa tagsaon pagsinati sila si Phoebe, Borgie ug Jonathan sugod karong adlawa hangtud sa Sabado.:
Banat News Hugyaw (BNH): Unsa na ka kadugay isip host sa MagTV? Giunsa nimo pagkahimong host niini?
Phoebe: I've been with MagTV Na for almost three years already. After Miss Cebu 2009, I got invited to be a part of Star Magic Cebu, a pool of young, Cebuano talents. I was a host then, together with McBilly and Jonathan, when Charo Santos-Concio visited Abs-Cbn Cebu. That was when Star Magic Cebu was launched and introduced to her. After that, I got invited to host for mall shows and other events of abs-cbn. And then, I was invited sa MagTV team to guest host sa ilang coverage sa Sogod Festival. From then on, they'd call me up para mag guest host sa uban segments nila because apparently, at that time, busy gyud ang mga main hosts (Mommy Tikay, Kuya Erwin and Blinky). Fortunately, bag-o pa ko kapasar sa board exams ato then nag job hunting pa ko, so basically wala pa koy trabaho. Hehe :) and then, McBilly and I entered the MagTV family as segment hosts muna. But then, unfortunately, Mommy Tikay and Kuya Erwin were very busy na with their work and other commitments. So sadly, they decided to step down from MagTV. Mao to, Billy and I joined Blinky as new MagTV Na hosts :).That was how I started. Hehe :)
BNH: Unsay dili nimo malimtan nga segment nga imong nahimo? Ngano man?
Phoebe: I think, the most unforgettable siguro for me was when I successfully tried and conquered the Plunge sa Danao, Bohol for our second anniversary special. Grabeh gyud kaayo to ka extreme adventure. And ako man gud, I admit, talawan jud kaayo ko. Even mu-slide sa swimming pool slide, mahadlok naman gani ko. Hahaha. Anyway, they gave me an option man if I want to try it or not. But I was thinking, bati jud kaayo ang outcome sa show if I wouldn't try it. But gipasuway sah gyud nako ang uban MagTV staff before I went for it. And expectedly, sa kahadlok, nakahilak ko. Wala jud tuyu-a, nitulo lang gyud akung luha sa kahadlok. So pag-try na nako, for pila ka seconds, hilom ra kaayo ko. Hahaha. They thought nakuyapan nako. But all the while, while swinging from mountain to mountain, I was just closing my eyes and kinda meditating para di ko ma heart attack. And after that, dili jud ma explain ang kalipay na akung na feel when I realized na I was able to do it. Nagsige na gani ko katawa ato afterwards. It was really something crazy yet unforgettable for me :)
BNH: Unsa para nimo ang rason nganong malungtaron ang MagTV?
Phoebe: The inspiring stories of people, the magnificent places we discovered as we travel, and of course, dili mulungtad ang MagTV if wala ang overwhelming na support sa mga bisaya. As hosts, we only deliver. But ang tinuod jud na bida sa MagTV na kay ang mga bisaya. :)
BNH: Unsay mga kalisdanan nga imong naagian isip host sa MagTV? Giunsa nimo kini pagsagubang?
Phoebe: Being a host, the challenge really about it is not more on how you look on the screen, or how you dress up. But it’s more on how you are able to touch other people's lives. How you inspire them through the segments you deliver. Ako, every segment na akong buhaton, i-feel lang jud nako. I cry and I get scared. I show some of my weaknesses. Para gani mas ma-connected ko sa mga tao because I’m practically not just a host, but more so, bisaya man sad ko. I show to them na I’m also one of them. So thankful kaayo ko sa mga comments that I’ve been getting from people watching the show. Their continued support, appreciation and love towards me and the show, plus the awesome bonding and friendship I share with our staff and my co-hosts, undoubtedly keep me going :)
BNH: Unsa pa nga mga segment ang buot nimong buhaton o topic nga buot nimong tukion sa MagTV kun mahatagan og kahigayonan?
Phoebe: More inspiring and wonderful life stories sa mga bisaya, dili jud na mawala sa lista. And of course, we've been featuring lots of wonderful places, so praying for more pa. And big prayers go to "out of the country" trips. Kuya Adrian? (Dionzon, executive producer sa MagTV) Hahaha :D
