Anak nina Dingdong at Jessa pang-showbiz!

Talent is a matter of genetics. Born to parents Ding­dong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza, hindi nakapag­tataka kung ang supling nilang si Jayda is a child prodigy.

Isa si Jayda sa tatlong “little superstars” featured in Startalk along with Ram Revilla and Arkin Magalona. Stage mother na stage mother nga ang role ni Jessa who accompanied her daughter, na sa biglang tingin pa lang ay halatado nang talented. And wait till you hear Jayda sing!

Pagkatapos isalang ang tatlong bagets, narinig naming umuungot si Jayda sa kanyang ina while being led to say “hi!” to her Ninong Ricky Lo.

Say ng bagets: “Do I have another episode?” na paulit-ulit niyang itinatanong kay Jessa.

Given her talent, hindi lang basta episode ang tiyak na maghihintay kay Jayda, perhaps a show she can share with the other gifted children na anak ng mga pamosong celebrities. Paging GMA 7, here’s a bright kid with an inborn talent worth your project!

Taong 1983 pa nung makilala ko si Allan K., gamit na niya noon pa ang kanyang monicker as a sing-along master of Minus One, a bar situated at the back of PCU on Herran St., Manila. For the re­cord, it was Allan K. who started it all, paving the way for the next batch of bar hosts who discovered there was a demand in Japan hanggang ngitian siya ng showbiz.

Twenty seven years later, ang nakilala kong Allan K. (we would always address each other as names of forgettable/forgotten stars) ay hindi nagbago except for his financial status much bigger than his trademark nose.

Nag-pilot na nitong Sabado ng gabi ang Co­medy Bar nila ni Eugene Domingo, a program title that brings back Allan K.’s struggling years sa bar kung saan kami nagkakilala. Not much has changed since then.

Nagsimula na ang back-to-back weekend relaunch ng Startalk at Showbiz Central — Star­talk TX ang bagong bihis ng naturang Saturday talk show retaining its showbiz authority image. Bi­nan­sagan namang intriga Capital of the Phi­lippines ang Showbiz Central.

TX stands for Totally Xtreme, or Xplosive, or X­clu­sive, or combination of these elements, habang may generous share din ang Sunday show na Showbiz Central sa mainit at kontrobersiyal na isyu’t tsika over the week.

Call it synergy.

Kung napansin n’yo last Saturday, bago rin ang set ng Startalk to reinforce the totally fresh look of the show which turns 15 this October. Abangan n’yo pa ang mas maraming pasabog nang pinag­sanib na puwersa ng dalawang programa in the weekends to come.

Sa aking pangungumusta through text sa kaibi­gang Eagle Riggs, natawa ako sa kanyang reply: “It took nine (9) years bago ko ma-realize na hindi pala lahat ng serbisyo ay totoo.”
