Ang mag-asawang Ralph Recto at Vilma Santos ang latest na binigyan ng dinner ni Mother Lily Monteverde at her Imperial Palace, probably home to actors who have crossed over to politics.
Tulad nang alam ng lahat, Ralph is seeking a seat at the senate again while Ate Vi is pushing for her second term as Batangas governor.
As always, kahit isa nang institusyon ang Regal matriarch, she remains a fan. In her speech, pinapurihan niya ang premyadong aktres (who has done a number of Regal movies) who began her political career as Lipa City mayor. After serving three terms (or equivalent to nine years), pinalad si Ate Vi na masungkit ang gubernatorial seat.
A known fact, hindi rito nagtatapos ang paghanga ni Mother Lily sa pamamalakad ng gobernadora. She has, in fact, proudly called herself ‘‘Batangueña.’’ Bilang testimonya, Mother Lily takes her Imperial Palace to the scenic Taal, Batangas kung saan isang resort hotel ang nakatakda niyang itayo roon.
Even when she was mayor, marami ang nililigawan ni Ate Vi na mag-invest noon sa Lipa City. At nang mahalal bilang Inang Bayan ng buong lalawigan, more investments did not stop coming. With Mother Lily as the latest addition to the growing list of investors, for sure, the Recto’s economic turf will never be this bullish.

Ngumiti, at hindi nagtawa, si Tirso Cruz III nang mabalitaang sumailalim si Nora Aunor sa beauty enhancement procedure under the expertise of Shinagawa Lasik and Aesthetic Center in Japan.
Na-misinterpret lang ang reaksiyon ng dating leading man ng Superstar, pero no big deal ’yon. In this day and age, hindi na isyu ang pagpapa-retoke, mas nagiging isyu pa ang mga artistang tumatangging may ipinabago sa kanilang katawan o mukha pero halata namang produkto ng wonders of cosmetic science!
Pam-buena mano nga ng beauty clinic ang kuning celebrity endorser si Ate Guy, who’s expected to return home after five years in time for the establishment’s grand opening in April.
Pero eto ang nakakatawa, pinagtiyap pa rin talaga ng panahon ang magkumareng Vilma at Nora. Sa dinner hosted by Mother Lily for Ate Vi, pasimple namang ipinamumudmod ang pralala kay Ate Guy with publicity photos on VCD. In written form nga lang ang sandamakmak na accomplishments ni Nora, samantalang AVP (audio visual presentation) naman ang kay Vilma.
