Cinema One Originals isang tagumpay para sa indie scene

MANILA, Philippines - Sunod nang matagumpay na premiere night kamakailan ng limang independent film entries ng leading movie cable channel sa bansa, ang Cinema One, sa pamamagitan ng Cinema One Originals project, natapos ang film festival sa isang Cinema One Originals Awards Night sa Dolphy Theater ng ABS-CBN.

Marami sa mga local at foreign filmmakers at indie movie fanatics, maging ang cast at crew ng mga pelikula at iba’t ibang celebrities, ang dumalo sa awards night upang suportahan ang limang Cinema One Originals finalists: Maximus & Minimus, Wanted: Border, Bala Bala, Paano Ko Sasabihin, at Si Maymay Si Baning at ang Asong Si Bobo.

Naging engrande at masaya ang gabi dahil sa mga hosts nito, ang grand slam winning actor at Drama Prince Piolo Pascual at ang bagong box-office star Eugene Domingo. Nakasama ang mga batikang filmmakers tulad nina Danny Zialcita, Cannes Film Festival director Brillante Mendoza, blockbuster directors kasama na sina Joyce Bernal at Cathy Garcia-Molina. Naghandog din si Sam Milby ng di malilimutang number!

Walang tema ang Cinema One Originals ngayong taon kung saan binubuo ang mga finalists ng sweet comedy Maximus & Minimus nina direktor Na Jamir at Jimmy Flores kasama ang mga bituing sina Cai Cortez, Baron Geisler, Mikel Campos, Liza Lorena at Malou Crisologo. Ang thriller na Wanted: Border ni director Ray Gibraltar at mga artistang sina Rosanna Roces at Raffy Tejada. Ang mystery-fantasy Bala Bala ng writer-director Melvin Brito at mga bituing sina Richard Quan, Glenda Resureccion, Jao Mapa, at Angel Jacob. Ang roman­tic comedy na Paano Ko Sasabihin na pinangungunahan nina Erich Gonzales at Enchong Dee at sa ilalim ng direksyon ni Richard Legaspi. Ang pambatang pelikula, Si Maymay Si Baning at ang Asong Si Bobo ng writer-direc­tor Rommel Tolentino kasama sina Rio Locsin, Simon Ibarra, at Gene Karley Largueza.
