Today, March 31, marks the 30 plus years of standup comedian Vice Ganda, pero sa halip na i-enjoy niya ang kanyang kaarawan ay hingal-kabayo niyang pinaghahandaan ang kanyang birthday concert on April 4, Saturday at the Metro Bar.
Pinamagatang OIB (Oh, It’s my Birthday), wish ni VG na tangkilikin naman daw sana ito nina Binibining Gandanghari at Boyet Fajardo. Of course, BB needs no further introduction samantalang ang famous na Boyet na ’yon deserves (court) injuction!
Abangan kung gagawan ng spoof ni VG ang ’di-makataong pagpapaluhod ni Boyet sa cashier ng Duty Free Philippines which is now all over YouTube. Makuha kayang gawing katatawanan ni Vice Ganda ang malaking disgrace na ’yon ng naturingan pa namang karespe-respetong alagad ng fashion(?)?!

Without a ray of doubt, the scorching heat is on. And in keeping with these sweltering times, nauna nang inilunsad ng TV5 nitong March 7 ang kanilang summer campaign aptly billed Shake it sa Tag-init. The network knows full well din naman kasi na nag-iinit ang TV ratings, with TV5 unbeatably taking the third slot based on overall surveys.
Ayaw ding magpatalbog ang TV5 as summer reaches its fever pitch this May. Sa a-uno kasi ng buwang ito ay isang bonggang-bonggang Live Caravan at Hataw ang masasaksihan sa SM Mall of Asia. Masusundan pa ito ng kauna-unahang beach party sa White Beach in Puerto Galera via its Hirit sa Tag-init.

Little does Joel Cruz (owner of Aficionado perfume) realize that his product line reaches out to deserving students in the elementary and high school levels.
Kinalampag ko na naman kasi ang kaibigang Gorgy Rula in soliciting giveaways para sa ating barangay project as chair of the education commitee. Titled Otsenta’y Singko Pataas, naghahanap ako ng mga mag-aaral enrolled at public or private schools with a general average of 85% and above during the outgoing schoolyear.
On two occasions ko nang hinihingan si Joel through Gorgy ng mga gift packs, and never have I been ignored even in my verbal request. Hay, ibang-iba sa isang office division that professes pa man din to do PR job!
Anyway, ang mga produkto ni Joel ang madalas ipang-exchange deal with TV programs. No wonder, the product line is head and shoulders above its competitors in the market. Myself a subscriber to Aficionado, hiyang sa akin ang refreshing scents nito just right for summer.
