Eddie Gutierrez naging therapy na makasama ang mga anak

PERUSE ME - Ronnie Carrasco -

Of the 27 cast members ng Zorro, ang pinakabagong fantaserye ng GMA 7, six of them (or more than one-fourth) are talents of Annabelle Rama under their family business, ang Royal Era Entertainment.

Gusto ko tuloy isipin na hindi station-produced ang Zorro, kundi isang blocktimer given the dominance of Tita A.’s talents. I am inclined to believe, however, that because of such preferential treatment given by GMA 7 to the Gutierrez matriarch ay sapat na ito upang mahilot na ang samaan ng loob sa pagitan nito at ni Ms. Wilma V. Galvante.

By the way, nais kong magpasalamat kay Jun Lalin, the Gutierrez’s publicist, na nangalap ng suporta para sa proyektong ito ni Richard, the actor’s seventh TV series on GMA 7, without having to rely on the PR strength (or weakness?) of the network’s CorpComm division.

Speaking of Tito Eddie, hindi lang pinatotohanan ng premyadong aktor ang kasabihang “once an actor, always an actor.” Pinatunayan ng haligi ng pamilya Gutierrez that beyond medical concerns, he has an actively throbbing heart to still take on acting challenges.

Kung matatandaan, Tito Eddie had to give up his grandfather role to Heart Evangelista in Luna Mystika. Ewan if fate had it, nagkaroon din ng problema sa heart si Tito Eddie.

Now, Tita A.’s hubby is back, doing what he loves the most — ang muling pag-arte. Dagdag therapy pa nga kung tutuusin sa mas ibayo pang interes sa trabaho ang makasama ni Tito Eddie ang kanyang dalawang anak na sina Richard at Elvis sa Zorro.

Not only is April 11 Black Saturday, araw din ito ng katatakutan as Star Cinema welcomes Easter with another Chito Roño’s creepy movie, ang T2. Unlike his past works Feng Shui and Sukob, kakaibang treatment daw ang inilapat niya sa Maricel Soriano-starrer na ito, kung saan batbat ito ng ating ages-old Filipino superstitions.

Kakaiba rin daw na karanasan ang mga ipinagawang eksena ni direk Chito kay Maricel dahil walang humpay na takbuhan, sigawan, iyakan... all test to her physical endurance.

Personally, wala pa raw nagiging karanasan sa mga engkanto si Maricel, but this is the type of film that she’s excited doing. “Malay ko naman kung nasa tabi ko na rin sila, ’no! Baka sa kadadaldal ko eh hindi ko namamalayan ang presence nila. O, baka rin takot sila sa akin,” sey ng Taray Queen no more.
