Suot nina Boy, Ruffa, Kris sa show mas napapansin
Not only are a thief and a liar felons, they are also criminal siblings. After all, gaya ng madalas nating sabihin: Ang sinungaling ay kapatid ng magnanakaw, and vice versa.
Lately, dalawang kaso sa showbiz ang pinag-uusapan. Yung literal na qualified theft sangkot sina Jennylyn Mercado, Becky Aguila at dati nilang tauhan na si Mel Pulmano, at ang ‘pagnanakaw,’ this time ng eksena ni Bubbles Paraiso sa umano’y paniniko nito kay Jewel Mische.
While theft – whether literal or figurative – is common in both cases, mahirap i-establish at this point ang krimen ng pagsisinungaling on either side. Sina Jen at Becky nga ba o si Mel; si Bubbles ba o si Jewel ang dapat paratangan nito?
The public has heard them all, kanya-kanya silang line of defense versus such acts of offense inflicted upon them. More than the courts that will decide on these cases, sana’y manaig na lang ang kanilang konsensya as to who wronged who as well as to who is the liar awaiting her direct flight bound for hell.

The Buzz’s P.O.V. (Points, Opinions and Violent Reactions) is a virtually new segment. Nitong last Sunday lang nagsama sa naturang segment ang main host nitong si Boy Abunda sandwiched by Ruffa Gutierrez and Kris Aquino.
The concept of P.O.V. reminds me of ASA Ka Pa?, isa sa mga segments ng Startalk when it began 13 years ago. ASA stood for Abunda, Solis and Aquino, Startalk’s original hosts.
P.O.V. like the dead Startalk segment, contains vignettes ng mga controversial issues na isa-isang tinatalakay at bumabalik sa live for Kuya Boy, Kris and Ruffa to sort off editorialize. Pero hindi ’yon compulsory participation, as Kris opted to lay her hands of the Gretchen Barretto-Tony Boy Cojuangco even if she obviously knew the real score.
But what sets P.O.V. apart from the other show-and-tell showbiz segments, very natural at spontaneous ang daloy nito, blame it on the three hosts’ diverse personalities that reveal their actual non-showbiz selves.
’Ika nga, parang nasa coffee shop o carinderia lang ang tatlo who have a word or two to say just about any showbiz item from juicy to lousy, from mundane to inane.
Even I, who set foot on the ABS-CBN studio after more than 15 years, was amused by Kuya Boy’s, Kris’s and Ruffa’s natural flair for talk kahit may tendency na i-upstage sila ng kanilang mga mismong suot fit for a catwalk.
