I would like to believe that John Lapus, an alien then to GMA-7 has switched his loyalty to his new-found home. A ‘kick-out’ from ABS-CBN for whatever rhyme or reason, hindi ko mapaniwalaan ang sinseridad ni John that he’s proud to be Kapuso.
Nito lang ipinabasa sa akin ng aking former officemate from a radio station ang ‘blog’ ni John, items of which he wrote noon pang October 2007. Bale dalawang ‘links’ ’yon, pardon me, I belong to the old school. I hardly know what ‘blog’ is all about.
Sa naunang link preceded by John’s medley of inane items was a blind article on a TV director whom he spotted with a teenage male newcomer in some public place. Sa ikalawang link, nagbabala na si John na mag-ingat sa mga baklang director, obviously with reference to his first item, na nananamantala ng mga baguhang artista in their quest for fame and fortune.
May unsolicited advice pa si John sa mga likely bagets victims that before they gave in, dapat may show sila o trabahong siguradong pagkakakitaan.
Without even having to guess kung sino ang tinutukoy ni John, I knew na walang iba ’yon kundi ang pinagpipitaganan lang namang consultant for TV, director, voice-over announcer and most of all, kaibigan na si Rommel Gacho!
Eh, kung si Roxy Liquigan nga, a friend of so many years, nakuha mong siraan, si Rommel pa kaya?! And what do you, John, have against Rommel?!
With your blog, John, parang gusto mo kaming agawan ng trabaho bilang reporter. But the diff is, you’re the kind who doesn’t check his facts! Call it ‘career crisis’ — TV host ka ba o reporter, both of which you’re not good at, aminin mo!
The chutzpah, John, para sabihin mo through my Startalk family na ayaw mo ng kaaway nu’ng lumipat ka sa GMA-7 (in reaction to my column here) dahil kiyeme-kiyemeng you wanted a fresh start… sorry, but your intention does not translate to action!
But in fairness to you, John, you’re just being consistent with the persons na pinagtitripan mo ng iyong delusions of grandeur, if only for the first two letters of such names.
Roxy, Rommel, Ronnie.
