I may not be a legal mind, but let me jump the gun. Hindi ngayon at nagpahayag na si Sam Milby na maghahain ng kasong libel kay Lolit Solis, from coffee shop to court ang susunod na nilang pagkikita.
One does not have to be a lawyer to be able to ascertain the merits of a case. At dahil sa kawalan naman ng elementong malice sa isinulat ni ‘Nay Lolit dito (either in law or in fact that needs to be established), kung kaya’t nakikini-kinita ko nang hindi magpo-prosper ang kaso.
Pero kung si ‘Nay Lolit ang tatanungin, oh, how she loves being sued! Hindi for the sake of publicity, neither does she believe that a libel case is considered to be a feather on a reporter’s cap. At bakit? Ke may kaso kasi siyang kinakaharap o wala, patuloy ang pagbabayad niya ng retainer’s fees sa kanyang abogado, the brilliant Atty. Noel Malaya, who has been her counsel since her principal involvement in the infamous Manila Filmfest fiasco.
These days, and this is for the information of the would-be plaintiff na si Sam, hindi biro ang magsampa ng kasong libel. If let’s say, Sam is suing ‘Nay Lolit fo P5 million, 10% nito or equivalent to P500,000 represents the filing fee.
Mas maganda rin if Sam will conduct a research on his own, partikular na sa kasaysayan ng mga libel case sa showbiz and how many of these were tried in the proper courts of law. Best of all, Sam should be prepared for the repercussions of his legal move on his career.

For the first time since she got separated, nagsalita na si Jaclyn Jose tungkol sa break-up nila ni Kenneth (of True Faith), her partner of nearly six years with whom she has a child nicknamed Gwen.
Bukas sa The Ricky Lo Exclusives (on QTV 11, 8:30-9:30 p.m.) n’yo mapapanood ang interview sa premyadong aktres as she revealed that she and Kenneth called it quits noon pa lang January 2006.
Ani Jane (Jaclyn’s pet name), bagama’t may pagkukulang din daw on her part, hindi niya masisisi si Kenneth, who’s 10 years her junior, if he got attracted to other women.
Bukod daw kasi sa line of work nito that has a natural tendency na maging lapitin ng mga babae, “Kenneth is tall, he’s attractive, he’s passionate,” sey ng aktres. Bale ba, huling-huli ni Jaclyn na may kasamang babae si Kenneth at a birthday party kung saan imbitado rin siya, but nope, she did not create a scandalous scene.
Pero hindi lang daw ‘yon ang instance that triggered the separation. ‘Ika nga, the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back was a series of pambababae, that one day, she realized it was time to let go.
Hindi naman itinatanggi ni Jane na medyo bitter pa rin siya sa nangyari, but the daily grind goes on. Nagtatrabaho pa rin siya as usual, in fact, working doubly hard dahil parehong nasa exclusive school ang dalawa niyang anak, si Andy (by Mark Gil, now 16 years old) at si Gwen.
“In time, mawawala na ‘yung bitterness ko sa puso. Siyempre, it’s not easy as it seems,” katuwiran ng aktres.
Isa lang po si Jaclyn sa mga tampok na artistang kinapanayam ni Tito Ricky sa The Ricky Lo Exclusives sa episode na pinamagatang Woman’s Choice, Woman’s Voice.
