Ama ng maraming artista

Lloyd Samartino doesn’t mind kung ang naa-assign sa kanya ay pawang father roles. In real life nga naman, he’s a father to Sergio (only child nila ni then presidential daughter, Jo Ramos) who’s almost 13 years old now. No matter how big or small the role is, naniniwala si Lloyd sa kasabihan ni Stanislavski: "There are no small roles, only small actors!"

Just recently, lumabas na Japanese father ni Iwa Moto si Lloyd sa Magpakailanman ni Mel Tiangco. It was a very brief appearance, pero okay lang ito sa kanya, never siyang tumanggi sa show ni Ms. Tiangco.

Prior to this, Lloyd and Jean Saburit played parents to Katya Santos when Magpakailanman presented her life story.

Sina Lloyd at Jean Garcia naman ang mga magulang ni Richard Gutierrez who was paired anew with Angel Locsin sa pelikulang I Will Always Love You.

Gumanap ding ama ni Pinoy Pop Superstar runner-up Harry Santos si Lloyd with Angel Aquino as the mother. Si Caridad Sanchez ang lola.

"Pagkatapos kong mag-taping for two days sa Magpakailanman, sa Love Spell naman ako nag-taping para sa ABS-CBN. Wala naman akong problema and I can work in both stations. I’m open to any offers from any station or movie companies.

"Makakasama ako sa seryeng Walang Kapalit but I think, next year na ang airing nito. Father ni Bobby Andrews ang role na ini-assign sa akin. With us in the cast are Piolo Pascual, Claudine Barretto, Edu Manzano, Dina Bonnevie, Jodi Santamaria, Candy Pangilinan and Susan Africa," ani Lloyd.

Considering his affiliation with Former President Fidel V. Ramos, after he married the president’s daughter, Jo Ramos, Lloyd admits, wala siyang intensyon to run for any government post. Tama na raw sa kanya ang tahimik na pamumuhay. Makatutulong naman daw siya sa kapwa kahit hindi siya maging isang public servant. – BEN DELA CRUZ
