FPJ, almost convinced na sa 2004 election!

Almost convinced na raw si Fernando Poe Jr. na tumakbo sa pagka-presidente sa darating na 2004 presidential election. Ayon sa isang source ng Baby Talk, mismong si deposed president Joseph Estrada ang nakikipag-usap sa kanyang kaibigan (FPJ) na tumakbo sa darating na election.

Finalist sa 2002 International Radio Programming Competition sa New York ang "The War Torn Heart of Nana Dolor," isang drama feature ng Radyo Pitlag na napakinggan sa Radio Mindanao Network.

May chance na mag-compete sa higher awards ang nasabing episode na ang mananalo ay malalaman sa awarding ceremonies ng New York Festival to be held at the Marriot Marquis on June 20.

Ang Radyo Pitlag ay produced ng Pathways Productions Inc. (PPI), a weeklong 30-minute broadcast drama-forum na ang layunin ay makapagbigay ng mga makabuluhang kaalaman sa mga nakikinig. "We are honored and grateful for this recognition," sabi ni PPI President Noel Tolentino na nag-develop ng Pitlag concept. "It provides a promising incentive for us to continue what we have started and that we are headed towards the right direction," he added.

As Tolentino pointed out, ang broadcast drama has never been given this kind of the direction in the past. "The idea is for radio drama to fulfill a purpose that is greater and more meaningful than just mere entertainment," sabi niya. "What we have here is an educational process that reaches out to people, making sure that they get information that is valuable to their everyday life and, basically, to their being Filipino citizens."

Ang entry ng Radyo Pitlag ay isa sa 1,202 entries mula sa 35 countries na nag-participate sa nasabing competition. Bilang finalist, ang entry ay eligible to compete for Gold, Silver or Bronze World Medal. Ang highest scoring Gold winners ay makakasali sa grand Award "best of show" bowl.

Ang New York Festival ay annual event na nagbibigay ng parangal sa broadcast at advertising industry sa buong mundo. "To have qualified is truly a rewarding experience for the creative staff of Radyo Pitlag," sabi ni Tet Maceda, executive producer ng Pitlag.

Ang "Giyera sa Diddib ni Nana Dolor" na sinulat ni Gil Mendoza ay kuwento ng isang ina who takes issue against the war in Mindanao.

Radyo Pitlag dramatizations deal with a wide range of subject matters - mula sa advocacy issues hanggang sa political debates. "Radyo Pitlag is intended to create awareness among listeners and promote their concern and confidence, if not to give them involvement as well,"dagdag ni Tolentino.

Sila ay unang narinig sa Radyo Veritas last year. It features dramatizations of issues kaugnay sa impeachment trial ni former President Joseph Estrada.

Seven years ago na pala nang huling mapanood si Roselle Nava sa pelikula, sa Mangarap Ka starring Mark Anthony Fernandez and Claudine Barretto. Ang tagal na noon, in fact, marami nang nangyari sa buhay nina Mark Anthony and Claudine since then. At ngayon, pagkatapos ng mahabang panahon, balik pelikula si Roselle via I Think I’m In Love starring Piolo Pascual and Joyce Jimenez. "Bestfriend ako ni Joyce na boyish looking sa movie. Nakaka-excite gumawa ng movie kasi matagal din akong napahinga sa acting," she said after the presscon of the said movie last Monday. "I really had a nice time working with Joyce kasi very thoughful siya. Lagi siyang may dalang candy sa shooting. Pag shooting break, nagkukuwentuhan kami," she said.

Anyway, kahit proven na ang pagiging magaling na singer ni Roselle, nag-decide pa rin siyang mag-voice lesson sa Shangri-La. Recommended ng doctor ang voice instructor niya ngayon.

Papunta ng States ang family niya para magbakasyon ngayong araw.

Happy naman siya sa takbo ng career niya pero marami pa siyang gustong gawin. "I’m happy but I want something more pa," she expressed.

At kahit marrying age na siya, wala pa sa plano ni Roselle ang marriage. "Ewan ko pero, really I’m not yet ready. Saka masyadong strict ang parents ko. Imagine up to now, kailangan ko pang humingi ng permission bago ako makipag-date. And I can’t imagine myself having my own kids." Going strong pa rin ang relationship nila ng non-showbiz boyfriend niya na ayaw niyang i-reveal ang identity.

Bukod sa promo ng I Think I’m In Love may mga naka-schedule siyang concert tour sa US.

Balitang Hollywood muna tayo. Isang source ang nag-confirmed sa Associated Press last Friday na hiwalay na si Jennifer Lopez sa dancer-husband niyang si Cris Judd. Ayon pa sa on-line report, sinabi raw ng source na wala pang immediate plans for divorce ang dating mag-asawa.

Ayaw naman daw mag-comment ng spokesperson ni Jennifer tungkol sa nasabing separation.

Ang 31-year old actress/singer ay nagpakasal kay Judd, 32 sa isang pribadong seremonya sa California pagkatapos niyang (Lopez) maki-paghiwalay kay Sean "P Diddy" Combs ayon pa sa on-line report.

Si Judd ay naging prominent background dancer sa video sa hit song niyang "Love Don’t Cost a Thing" pero hindi nagtagal ay naging abala sa kan-yang sariling career. Nag-direk si Judd ng video para sa Ja Rule remix of her song na "Ain’t No Funny" at naging choreographer sa katatapos na NBC concert special ni Jennifer.
